It will be an intriguing window, I'm expecting a couple of them to go out on loan - Jewi has been hinted at, but wonder if Triantis might as well.

    Burstow I'd send back

The one thing that really pleases me is that we don't rely on 4 or 5 loan players like a lot of the championship do, I hope that continues although a coupe of loans in January might be just what we need

Don't see point in loans really unless significantly better than what we have. The investment in January has to be clever and one eye on next season. Is there a plan for premier league? There is no point in pissing away money on short term deals to get promoted with no plan for Premier league. I think we need to keep moving in the same direction of travel and hope the players keep developing and can thrive in premier. Do we really want to get promoted and end up like the three promoted teams this season. I'd honestly prefer another season in championship

Beale will have some canny links back into the various academies as well i would have thought so it's another one to look forward to imo.

I hope we keep hold of Pritch for the rest of the season as well.

That's kind of my point, instead of having 4 or 5 loan players, we have 1 (who I'd send back) then if we got an Amad level loan in for the rest of the season it's all good as it's not massive change in the summer when 4 or 5 loan players go back.

I hope we keep all the core starting team with some of those on the fringes going on loan.

Is Triantis really going to get first team games with our existing centre half's? Probably not so would make sense for him to have 6 months at a club he plays games regularly at

The important answer here is whether or not we think Triantis could come in and do a job.
If Dan Ballard gets injured...again...and Luke gets suspended...again...given that Aji and Cirkin have been out for a while,we might need Triantis, alongside Seelt.
He should only go out on loan if we don't think he's ready to step in if we need someone. As with Anderson,he's out at Shrewsbury, but that's because we didn't see him ready yet,and we wouldn't have played him.

Its a tricky one as he probably would be better getting games on loan, but as you say we might need him.

You could say the same about Jewi, I think he would a great shout coming on for the last 20 or so to run at defenders but is that best for his development?

It’s only lucrative in the PL if you’re run right, mind. Our last stay there was a lesson to others on exactly how not to do it. KLD and Speakman with that extra revenue… exciting thought.

I’m in no rush to get back there yet as our foundations aren’t quite solid enough imo.

Would be brilliant especially if Amad is going to Southampton

Arguably better than Amad in the way he can play as a more natural 10, without the need to drift.

Kind of player we want to be trying to get on a permanent.

    He has a point https://x.com/capt_fishpaste/status/1738490718102995195?s=46

any club with a guaranteed goal scorer will want top dollar and any proven striker will want to be paid top dollar. Don't think we’ve got it right like - our ‘9’ looks low in confidence and the others aren’t natural line leaders but the point stands- we have to sign the next Stewart not a current version

The mythical experienced proven championship striker. They simply don't exist. From what I can see there are three types of strikers in this league, the youngsters, the premier league failures and the bang average EFL journeymen. Fans seem to think 20+ goals a season strikers just grow on trees.

Anyone expecting thek to sign a proven striker is going to be dissapointed imo. At most we will sign someone for a bit more who is a little bit further down the has potential road, so a young lad from wherever who is more highly rated and further down tbe path than the others we signed. Imo Rusyn will start to get some goals.

Also on Stewart, imo we won't get a striker like him again. He had a lot to like about him, like I've said multiple times he scored at a very good rate for us but finishing was no where near his strongest asset. His positioning and workrate were as good as any I can ever remember seeing in red and white shirt.

In the echo it’s saying Jewi wants a move.
You can’t blame him as he’s not getting picked.

I thought he looked good the short while he’s played but is not getting any playing time with the 1st team.

It’s thought a loan move would be good for him.

I would like to see him used in the games before the window opens as he could be a ‘hidden gem’ just like Hume was before he was given a regular spot.

Hemir going out on loan would be far better plus Burstow returned to Chelsea (unless we buy him outright)

The only one that moved for reasonable money was Jerry Yates, the same people clamming for experience would have probably been up in arms about him, for what it’s worth i think he’d have been an okay addition

Jewi is an odd one as everytime he’s played he’s contributed. I really don’t understand what more the lad could do

Think it would've depended on if the club think he could've developed with the club into the prem. Swansea paid £2.5mill plus Kyle Joseph so that would've probably been about £3-3.5millon for us. A big outlay considering we hadn't sold Stewart yet when he moved.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him used more now. Mowbray didn't fancy him because imo he didn't feel he could get his message across to him (do clubs not here interpreters to translate?) Beale might be happier especially if he speaks a bit of Spanish.

He is very direct and fast as **** and as I said the other day its criminal the amount of times we saw Dack come on to plod about for tbe last 10-15 when Bennette would have created a lot more panick running at a tired defence!
