Ronaldo is 38. Don’t think he would be up to the rigours of the Championship week in week out nowadays. Especially on a wet Tuesday night at Stoke.

I was being a tad facetious. Though I wonder what he would be like with lesser players not on the same wavelength around him.

As for style of play what makes you think it does not suit him, we have enough players who can put the ball in the area and players who can draw the opposition out so he will have plenty time and space to do his stuff and he is a natural scorer and i would not be surprised if he actually finished top scorer even though others are ahead of him atm.

I have always wondered that with him and a few other top players as well also thought about it with all these top managers.

We dont have a strong poacher in the team hence so many balls go in there and nobody pulls off and gets the first timer - I think Sharp is that tyoe of player - he could Nick one to win r to draw away - he won’t be expected to chase and press for an hour it’ll be 15-20 mins mostly IMO

I’d say he’s pretty old. One of my neighbours was a granny by his age.

And yes she is a 100% gilf.

He’s very old for a footballer. And he doesn’t suit our style of play. We had a good goal-poacher in Óscar who was deemed not suited to our style of play. Sharp is also a goal-poacher but much older and not as good. It’s a weird signing.

Yes, Sharp isn’t as good as Óscar in 2023.

Oscar started really well but slowed down by the end of the season.

Apologies if this has been mentioned but wasn’t Sharp about to sign for us from Donny years ago but decided to stay put as his child had tragically died and he wanted to be close to the cemetery?

Oscar’s made five appearances so far this season, no goals, no assists and available for less games than Vinagre.

Tbh I hve a feeling they've brought Sharp in more for what he can offer the younger lads in the squad off pitch then on it, wouldn't be at all surprised to see him step up to striker coach at the end of the season, Kevin Phillips had a similar role at the end of his career.

Not to LR it's not and he seems to be doing a pretty decent job so far.

He has not even kicked a ball yet except in training surely you have to give him the chance before making a judgement, unless he comes out on a zimmer i think he will do ok.

As for him not being as good as Oscar you really do need to look up both players careers before saying that.
