According to their message board, the consensus is that it was moved purely to have more time between this fixture and the Boxing Day game.
Wasnt it an earlier kickoff to facilitate travelling fans or something? *nope. It was to avoid a fixture clash with FC. Both Bristol fixtures were moved as long ago as June.
A Friday night kick off doesn’t facilitate things for fans of City and Bristol travelling to each other games?
Yes, they have priority at end of their season as we have at end of ours. The change of their home game being done just 5 days after the fixtures came out seems a tad quick though.
They've obviously just come to an agreement between clubs over both fixtures back then. Don't think there'd be many going whether it was Fri or Sat tbh.
As I said in my OP, I was only going by what their message board was saying. “On 16/12/2023 at 18:16, Davefevs said: Yep, agree. Plus it gives us a bit more prep time before the game on Boxing Day. That was the reason the club gave when they announced it.”
Im gutted its Friday night....Bristol is one of my favourite away games....stay over as its a good night out is Bristol....maybe next season!!!!!?
