Both Leicester City and Ipswich Town are on target to smash Reading's record breaking 105 point total, achieved eighteen years ago, after extraordinary starts to their seasons, which have seen them storm clear of their Championship rivals with 55 and 52 points respectively from just 22 games. Leeds have not been firing on all cylinders lately, but remain the only club to have have beaten the duo this season (with both victories coming away from home). They will need to up their game, if they are to overcome a free scoring Ipswich side that are averaging over two goals a game (47 goals in 22 games). please log in to view this image Leeds will be without the services of Sam Byram (hamstring), Stuart Dallas (leg) and Jamie Shackleton (glute), but could welcome back Junior Firpo after recovering from his troublesome hamstring injury. The 27yo has returned to training this week, and is in contention to start at the weekend. This could allow Daniel Farke to finally rest Archie Gray, and play Djed Spence in his preferred left wing-back role. Whilst the 17yo has done a sterling job this season, he has already amassed over 2200 minutes of game time, and must be due a break. Ian Povada is back in contention after returning from International duty with Columbia. The 23yo started twice from the South American outfit in wins against Venezuela and Mexico. The Tractor boys will be without long term absentee Lee Evans. The Welsh midfielder is recovering from a knee injury. Apart from that, Manager Kieran McKenna has a full squad to pick from.
We’ll win this one and put a lot of doubt into the Ipswich team at the same time. The reason being Ipswich will go toe-to-toe with us and we’ll rip them apart. 4-1 Leeds
We'll lose this one. The last time we played well was 3rd November at Leicester. We've been pretty average as a team since. The reason we have been winning is because of the quality of individuals and not our gameplan.
Huge game and we need to win otherwise it’s suddenly no win in three. Beat Ipswich and they head to the Leicester game with the same scenario.
I’m a bit torn on this one. I’d really like a stand out performance and win…… but……. I keep imagining the posts from Eire if we don’t get either, they’ll be golden.
I think we’ll complete the double, we seem to be up for the top teams more than the park the bus dross at the bottom of the table.
Ipswich can finish teams off but we can't. You can not call our finishing quality it's too hit and miss.
It's a cobbled together line up without a real striker. No back up and loan players except Rodon not adding up to much.
A proper game of football Ipswich will come with winning in mind none of this park the bus shyte which we struggle to break down. A game we should enjoy playing in but let's not kid ourselves even though they will come to play and suit us they are a team in form and a team who can hurt us. We have to take our chances because I see them scoring. Been a bit pizzed off a week or so after Sunderland and Coventry time for the boys to put a smile back on my chops.
Exactly Jammy. They wont park the bus like Coventry. A free flowing game with plenty of goals, hopefully we score one more than them.
If FARKE has a favourite 11 then he should have rested a couple last week so that he has a fresher best 11 out today, but he didn’t. He has watched a couple of jaded performers over the last 2 games and if he ends up making changes today and it fails he’s on a loser. If he does make a couple of changes then I hope they grab their opportunity to prove FARKE wrong. A must win game today
Not if their coach takes note how other teams work out how to beat us we wont, Farke hasn't got a plan b, hopefully McKenna hasn't either and this game being a cup final for most of our players we'll beat them. 5-3 leeds
Hi everyone it's wakey fans group pre home game drinks from midday. I believe they have sky sports so two birds with one stone. Ipswich do not need to come out to batter us. All they have to do is draw and we are no nearer them.
It will be an open game but I fear that our forwards have been off the boil the last couple of games. Ipswich are 3/1 today. Seems a big price for a live opponent.
