Week to go and it's over, fairly daunting times ahead.

Meal out tonight, but at a remote harbour pub with **** all else around so not like we can kick on to a club or anything. Try to get a good kip tomorrow night as it's then out Thursday with project team, promises to be proper boozy. Meal in a pub first, but still too much scope for it to all go wrong later. Got a sizeable kitty for it but still dreading it tbh, likely to be words between warring foremen and engineers, which I'll have to mediate.

Last day Friday, no doubt feeling like ****e. Swans game Friday night v Proud, scope for a couple of dog hair and a pie.

Golf Saturday morning, then out with junior football dads. This is meal out at local brewery tap room then darts all night in the local backstreet ale house.

Christmas Eve the next day, sorting presents and stuff, but traditional beach walk in the day with a beer at GC after, then down the in laws that evening for Christmas Eve chillies. (it's usually at ours, so the ma in law has a lot to live up to chilli wise).

Then Christmas day at ours, then Boxing day with no football sadly, at in laws.

If I'm not pushing seventeen stone and a mental wreck after all this something will be wrong.

We're off on the 27th, 11 nights in the sun, never done a sunny break this time of year, the few times we've been away, it's been to find snow. Might feel a bit weird NYE 29°

Would love to do a Christmas ski, my eldest is in Austria with school right now and it looks superb.

No way Mrs Chief would have it though, as it abandons her parents pretty much. Wouldn't bother me though.

See I could never do that. I hate the idea of being away at Christmas. I always said the only place I would ever go at Christmas, other than home, if I had to, is New York.
Always like idea of visiting central park and the plaza at christmas, probably been in my head cos I saw Home Alone 2 as a kid :)

Not sure whether I'm going to like it but gonna give it a go.

A girl who works for my Mrs went to NY from boxing day to new year once, loved it apart from the crowds on nye

New York was great as a kid. Went back ten years or so ago and didn’t rate it. Not much there you can’t do here. Give me Miami over New York any day.

Excited for doing **** all. Annual boys’ curry tomorrow, bit of my family **** Xmas eve then only a few of us and not my family Xmas day. Millwall away Boxing Day, Ipswich away on the 29th with no plans in between. NYE can **** off. Football on the 1st.

    I am like this now.
The last 10 NYE's have consisted of me sitting at my PC or watching TV, then I hear fireworks go off, look at my phone and go "oh its midnight" then immediately go back to being on my PC or watching TV <laugh>
I overindulge on booze, food and expenditure over xmas and have seen all my friends and family already so have no desire to host a party, and **** paying £200 to go to some **** party or event, plus my youngest daughter is 7, so its not like I can be out too late anyway.
    **** NYE

Is this nicer than the regular Hendricks gin?

I don't drink but want to get something for someone who's an avid gin drinker. I can see some regular Hendricks local to me. Lunar means a longer drive!

I know nothing about gin but read up to "we produce our very own Liverpool Organic Gin on-site in a custom-built 60 litre copper still." and thought this sounds dangerous I'm out.
