Both injuries were caused by bad tackles, so yeah. Gordon was injured by Caicedo, Krafth by Colwill. Trippier I do think Howe has overplayed when other options were available. Hall should have had more chances, as should Livramento before the burn injury. Would have allowed Trippier to have a breather now and then.
I don't recall anyone saying there was, but unfortunately It hasn't proved conducive with the additional games in Europe. The question remains whether it will moving forward and some are in doubt because the only demonstrable evidence we have so far is this season not last.
I think the style of play is more than doable, just not so well when you refuse to rotate players, in this style of play you really need all players sharing the load.
Yes that's fair enough.I like this way of playing aswel and really don't like the way City play, but I'm beginning to understand why it's probably the most sensible and correct way to go about it. Brains before guts.
Yeah im the same mate there's just a right way to implement a style of play and I dont think we've been doing that at the moment
Which is all great with a cheat mode on fm2024, not quite so great when you had an owner that did the bare minimum for 14 years prior to being bought out. The squad we were left with was worth nowt. Villa sold Grealish for £100m for all those thick ****s crying how they get away with ffp.
****ing hell mate, never get the witness stand for anyone, as I fear you would melt like a mars bar left on a burning hot stove.
The question is whether Eddie Howes style of play is suitable and the only demonstrable evidence we've got it 'this' season which has been a disaster squad management wise. The coming months and probably into next season will either see the issues clear up or they'll see a continuous decline.
If you're having to get on witness stands for someone you know then that's your 1st problem. I've made steps to avoid being in such a situation.
Yes, they did, and immediately spent all that money and a little more in wages on Buendia, Ings, Digne and Bailey. My personal complaint is last Summer following UCL qualification, knowing even a group stage exit would guarantee a lot of revenue, we spent £120m (then committed £30m more on Hall) compared to their £90m and ended up with Livramento, Barnes and Tonali whilst they ended up with Diaby, Torres, Tielemans, Lenglet and Zaniolo. I shudder to think what we'd have done if we'd finished 10th as was probably expected.
We have lasts season's evidence to show otherwise too. The squad has been battered this year. I'm not saying they're all good enough or not, I'm trying to say we haven't had the options to see this first hand yet. We haven't had a spare winger or central midfielder for weeks on end. The transfers in the summer weren't Eddie Howe's responsibility, that was on Dan Ashworth. Whenever the players get a week between games they beat whoever they come up against. It can't simply be blamed on Howe not rotating the squad as he hasn't had the luxury to do so. Impact injuries are the main source of injury this season, which isn't muscle injuries from over playing. As much as some would like to deny this to suit their agenda. I get people will moan about how long it took Livramento to get in the team but Howe's previous history suggests players get blended into the squad and adapt to his styles before they get debut's unless it's forced on him, and its worked thus far.
Unfortunately we were not in Europe last season, so I think we now know where your misunderstanding is. I've made my feelings known and I'm confident that I'll be proved correct over the coming months and next season, however I'm also aware I could be wrong... I think yourself and others need to accept that. Only time will tell us mate.
FFP isn't to blame for this situation though mate... Howes got a good squad .. there's a few players for every position...cb is a bit weak maybe.
Your not understanding what I'm saying here. If Wilson/Isak are both fit - one starts on a weekend one starts mid week. If Barnes/Gordon are both fit - one starts weekend one starts mid week. If Almiron/Murphy (FFS I'm down to using Murphy as a ****ing example) are both fit - one starts weekend one starts midweek. If Willock/Joelinton are both fit - one starts weekend one starts mid week. If Longstaff/Miley (Now, not then) are both fit - one starts weekend one starts midweek. If Bruno/Tonali are both fit and not suspended (big if on both) one starts weekend one starts mid week. If Livramento/Tripps are both fit - one starts weekend one starts mid week. Schar/Lascelles - same Botman - Kind of ****ed here as need a 4th centre back Burn/Hall - Kind of ****ed here as appears Hall ain't making the grade Pope/Dubz - Kind of ****ed here as Dubz couldn't catch ****ing Covid.
FFP has absolutely nothing to do with a mangers ability to manage a squad, keep injuries to a minimum and create a style of play that is suitable for what is at his disposal gentlemen. Chucking money at a problem isn't a solution either because you have to fix the route cause.
