no they are not 8th. they might be 8th in theory heads but in reality they are filthy cheats who are 16th. plus anther fine/ points deduction is inbound.
The ironic thing is that they'll probably still be in the same place if they hadn't had the deduction because it's being thoroughly pissed off with everybody that spurred them on.
Theyre 8th in terms of form. Not often you see a team in 8th get relegated at end of season as normally means they’re good enough to do better than 12 more teams.
Nothing like exaggerated headline. Sky selling the Everton pen miss from Onana as possibly the worst shootout penalty… 1, who knew that was even a thing to measure. But 2, the guy just hit it low slightly wide of the middle. Not even close to a worse penalty. Trippier was worse as didn’t even hit the target. Of keeper drives wrong way it’s a goal. Such stupid reporting.
I noticed in both the games that went to pens that most of the players did stupid stuttering runs up to the ball, whatever happened to just hitting the ball hard and accurate to score.
Yeah, trying to wait for keeper to dive so you can roll down the middle and can't miss. Some keepers just dive in a set order and have said as much. Some go by stats on known pen takers, some go by strongest foot and some plain guess. You'd think these footballer would be able to slot a ball into a corner without worrying about dicking about but they seem to want to blast it down the middle or to have the keeper ge tout of the way. I'm for the power method myself
Form is nice but there's no prize for form tables. They are 16th as the are proven cheats who've been punished and are soon to be punished again and my questions stands. Is pickford that ****e or did he throw it. Some of these were town efforts at saves having gone the right way
Keeper doesn't really have to dive either to show which way he's going, all he has to do is drop one shoulder slightly or shift his weight then he's only going one way. The annoying thing is some players have elaborately choreographed approaches when there's no need for that. It's getting as bad as the stupid bloody celebrations they come up with.
I think a lot of them are off balance by the time they do the jogging and stepping and strutting and will telegraph their intent in the shoulders the best takers can close their foot over and hit it the other side so in a shoot out you just go with the majority of their pens and forget it if they can adjust. with the rarely taking a pen types the best keepers are the ones who are willing to stand up a bit and stay more central as some of these guys will hit their legs or if you do guess right don't hit a corner. pickford actually went the right way and got hands to several but they went through him, they were not all hit hard.
I didn't see the Everton game - the pens can't have been that good if the Jordanosaurus got his hands to them.
only one was good. the others I thought should have been stopped. his soft tiny wrists were the issue
UEFA and FIFA losing court case regarding Super League ban https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67783970
As expected. No one body owns professional football and can decide who gets involved. Whether the super league or this goes anywhere is another thing as clubs will be very conscious of the backlash it got few years ago, but it’s not uefa and fifas job to tell people who can and can’t set up rival tournaments, much live LIV with golf. The pga don’t own golf
i really don't know what this decision actually means bar anyone can set up a new football tournament in Europe in theory and uefa can't attack them directly for doing so.
Pretty much which is what they wanted to begin with. Why uefa thought they held the rights to all football in Europe is an odd one. Money talks. If they put enough money into it and ensure that there is a far way to enter the comp for all teams then makes no diff. Why do Liverpool or any other club care if they’re playing in the UEFA champ league or the Sponsor name Super league alongside their normal prem duties. As long as getting paid and fans are watching then all good to them.
If they wanted to set up a proper super league they would set it up using the winners of all the domestic leagues to say a maximum of 18 teams a lot of the lower European leagues could go into mini competition and the winner of that would be one a team in the new super league From then you would have 1 promotion/ relegation. The promoted team would be the winner of the champions league completion as it is now, however the only entrants, as it used to be would be, would be the winner of each domestic league.
