It wasn’t awful. The livers overcooked so binned those. A cheap but failed experiment. The thighs were nice enough. Potatoes were a bit firm but edible. Most importantly it was bland enough for me to only want a normal man-sized portion so we go again next time with a stock cube and more seasoning. Gordon Ramsay I am not.
Pics to follow - got a bit too excited with the main course and only remembered to take a pic half way through
Can't lie - was banging - one word of caution however - we went on to Espresso Martinis post meal - £19.99 a pop when the bill came - 3 each! - bill was £366 for 3 of us - on their expenses thank fook!
cost of living crisis……not for companies so it seems if you don’t mind me saying I find it fking repulsive
Can't argue - but not my call - in fairness the business I'll be putting their way will more than compensate - and the irony is that they would still have got it without needing to wine and dine me - but was a fine lunch - 1pm to 7pm
fk that 1pm till 7 pm eating and talking bollox with strangers is not my kinda way of life……. Im good without waisted money and care very little for that kinda nonsense foods that comes with it
Last night, harbour pub food. Couple of local ales, Evan Evans Warrior, to kick off. Fish soup starter John Dory with dauphinoise spuds and a cockle, samphire and cream sauce. Chips on the side. Had sticky toffee pudding after, no pics.
Yes, very. Everything expensive. Felt a bit guilty as it was the most expensive fish but it had the best sounding sides and sauce so **** it. They had a classics menu, from there I'd have gone for fish pie and even that was £26. Pretty much everything is ten quid too much across the board at the moment.
it fking should be……I’d want the fish to give me a little song on the piano before it got murdered for my plate for that price
Not going out to eat until the 27th but then it's 3 days in a row I'll be sick of cooking by then and then Tenerife and 4 nights eating out there. Nice break from cooking coming up.
