Wrong yet again. We finished fourth last season because we were the fourth best team in the League last season. Not a flash in the pan. Flashes don’t last 38 games. I do agree people should look at the full picture and put things into context and have perspective.
When Ritchie stepped up it felt like a flashback. I've been saying it all season and the day we stop seeing the likes of Ritchie longstaff and lascelles we'll kick on.
Just popped on twitter and it would appear some of the fans have taken to being unpleasant to Jamie rueban. At least all the arseholes are suffering.
Lascelles played well today. He played very well. There’s one player that’s let us down which I can’t say because he’s done so well for us. But lately he’s become a liability. Is he tired?
I agree but the club is aspiring to be a club that wins things and I'm sorry but the likes of lascelles Ritchie Murphy Dubravka and longstaff are just not going to be good enough. It's not a case of being unpleasant it's just reality.... the day we stop seeing them being relied on in the big games we'll start winning them.
They each had the season and end result they merited last season. No one has a divine right to be top.
I mean we could have spunkiest £1.5bn up the wall, brought in 25 different players and just chucked them all together and see how that turned out
And it will happen but it just takes time as we aren’t allowed to use the magic money tree money but some on here only pay lip service to that fact.
Of course not but at the end of the day they did all have a bad season all at the same time which is rare and the opportunity came our way. The reality is that the side and squad simply isn't the 4th best.
Yes that's true I don't recall saying otherwise.. actually I keep telling you all Newcastle aren't as good as you think and its a 10 year plan. It's seen as doom mongering, but I feel vindicated because it's correct.
The reality is like you say. But it’s going to take time. We have two types of fans. Those who see it for it is. The bedwetters. And those who are behind and accept the old ways under Ashley. The faithers. The ones who can’t be negative towards the new regime because god forbid we want more. That’s clear. I’m happy to be a bedwetter because I want the best for the club. Howe needs to learn from these experiences. Ask the Notts Forrest fans about their love for Cooper. He’s gone.
We have fans that overrate our players and in particular players we should all know are not very good. Not many of our side tonight was bought under the new regime, so it came as no great surprise that we felt like we were watching Steve Bruce's Newcastle. It makes you wonder if Howe or any of these managers aren't in fact just riding waves.
It's only an obligation to buy if certain performance related criteria are met. They don't want him...
