I couldn't find a shorter version with the car actually submerged, the small device cuts the seat belt and breaks the glass. As well as noting the air goes to the back of the car as the engine drags the car under...made me think of those poor lads, although for some reason I think their car rolled, not sure if that's correct.

Phoned the toy shop and asked if they had the game 'Operation'

They said they did, but there's a 3 year waiting list.

The only flaw in what he's saying is that it takes ages for the water to flow in, and he says you've got plenty of time to cut the seat belt and break the window. And I'm thinking, while the water's by his feet why not just open the door and fck off out <laugh>

The weight of the water against the door will probably prevent that, and I'm guessing the electric windows could be shorted out. Best thing to do is not drive into a body of water in the first place, or do it in a car with old school window winders,

I can understand that once the car's submerged enough, half way up the doir for example. But watching the video, as the car goes in, the water comes seeping in under the pedals by his feet. There's a good minute before the front door and certainly the back one has enough water beside it, so he could open it during that time.

Yeah but commonsense would tell you, you only have seconds, I didn't think anyone would require that bit explaining tbph lol. Seatbelt cutters are nowt more than a razorblade in an angled device, but very effective at what they do. Generally I'd imagine your seat belt is only going to lock if the counterbalance isn't level...so engine angled down or car upside down etc. The device for getting you out would need to be located at easy reach, and not in a glove compartment lol, because you've only got seconds. Your worse problem is panick setting in, because as they've found with training scuba divers most will just lose it within a second of removing their mask on the first occassion.

He literally sits there for a minute saying ppl don't realise they have plenty of time whilst showing us the water's only by his feet! I agree, the panic must be the biggest factor. Let's face it though none of us are buying that gizmo lol. I'm going to stay away from Salford Quays <whistle>

Yeah I did think the video example was rather poor visually, they should done it for real, and if he died we learn from visually seeing what he did wrong. <laugh>
