I don't think that Udi have actually won a home game all season.

From what I saw Man U had the better chances !

Mind you Liverpool probably would have won had they scored first .

They cop a lot of flak but you have to hand it to them - they've never forgotten their roots. Set up to help the poor in Glasgow, they're still doing it today.

Steve Cooper will be able to put his feet up over Christmas, as he has been removed at Forest.

Sounds like they had his replacement lined up before hand too .

Will Glen Murray be tweeting about what a disgrace that is ?

Having seen his plans for a biennial World Cup booted out, Arsene Wenger is now championing the expanded Club World Cup.

"...but it's important that we make football really global and this creates a chance for other clubs to progress." He doesn't actually say why it's important - just that it is, which is really just a matter of opinion. Personally i wish he'd just crawl away under a rock somewhere, be quiet and stay there.

Plymouth are rudderless after their manager left today to take over at Stoke.

]Plymouth are rudderless after their manager left today to take over at Stoke.[/QUOTE]

Atoke, without a win in eight, are three points above the drop zone and on to their sixth manager in six years.

Plymouth assistant manager Mark Hughes, first-team coach Peter Cavanagh and goalkeeping coach Darren Behcet have also left the club to join Schumacher.

Schumacher, who initially joined Argyle as assistant to Ryan Lowe and was promoted in December 2021 when Lowe left for Preston, said he was "attracted" to Stoke by "its history and everything it represents".

"The values that resonate with me for a Stoke City team are bravery and hard work, coupled with a desire to play attacking football and be a team our supporters can connect with," he told Stoke's website.

"We have the players to do that and, if we can get back to a point where the Bet365 Stadium is thought of as a tough venue to visit, we can really get it rocking again."

And Stoke are three points & three places behind Plymouth in the table - and lost to them only a couple of weeks ago. Based on that, I'd say that Stoke are splashing the cash.

Found this image on Facebook and thought it worth sharing.

Apparently a picture taken during the 1896 Scottish Cup Final between Hearts and Hibs in Edinburgh, it shows the strange field markings of the day - I'm wondering why on earth the goal area had two semi-circles instead of the rectangle it has these days?

I never knew that the penalty area used to stretch the whole width of the pitch - nor that penalty kicks could be taken from any point along that line pointing to the ref's head in the photo.

Nor that, judging by the pose of the guy third from the right, Billy the Kid played for Hearts.;)

The shorts tell you it was not a recent match, as well as the pitch markings.

Not to mention the goalkeeper wearing the same outfit as the rest of his team - identifiable only by his hat.
