Good Morning. It's Tuesday 19th December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Are Leeds really in talks with galatasaray over winger Reports from Turkey suggest Leeds are in talks with galatasaray over winger Kerem Akturkoglu. The Turkish International has contributed seven goals and eight assists from 27 matches so far this season, whilst operating on the left wing as an inverted winger, similar to how Summerville has been operating for the Whites this season. He joined the Sarı-Kırmızılılar (The Yellow-Reds) in 2020, and has netted 28 times in 104 appearances. His contract runs until the Summer of 2026, and is valued at around £15m on Transfermarkt I would be surprised, and a little disappointed if Leeds were willing to do business with galatasaray, after the events in Istanbul twenty-three years ago. Surely, Leeds will not be willing to let Summerville leave next month, whatever the offer, and as such do not need another wide man. please log in to view this image Leeds produce most shots from within penalty area Leeds produce more shots on goal from within the penalty area than any other Championship side. Data collected from 'Whoscored, (the most in-depth and complete football statistical website) shows that on average, Leeds produce 10.1 efforts on goal per game. Ipswich are in second place with 9.8, Sunderland are third - 9.1, then come Leicester 8.7 and Boro 8.1. Farke's men are joint fourth along with Swansea and Bristol City for efforts from within the six yard box (1.2 shots per game), behind Southampton 1.5, Boro 1.5 and Leicester City 1.3. Surprisingly the Whites are a lowly 10th, when it comes to shots from outside of the area (4.8), with Hull Sunderland and Plymouth leading the way. All in all, Leeds average 16.3 efforts at goal each game. This leaves them in third place, 0.3 behind both Leicester City and Ipswich Town. Leeds may top most efforts from within the penalty area, but are only joint third (along with Southampton) when it comes to putting these chances away (behind Leicester City 1.6, Ipswich Town 1.4 and Blackburn 1.2). The Whites are one of seven clubs in second place for netting from six yards out 0.4, whilst from distance are joint eighth 0.2. please log in to view this image Leeds can't keep hold of the ball Leeds are the most dispossessed side in the Championship, according to new data from 'Whoscored.com'. On average, the Whites are relieved of the ball 9.9 times a game, more than any other Championship club. They also rank in the bottom four (along with Rotherham) for unsuccessful touches 16.5. Leeds rate highly for their short passing game (5th, averaging 430 passes a game), but are bottom of the pile for accurate long passes, just 16.6. Only Blackburn are caught offside more than Leeds this season too. please log in to view this image
Mad few weeks ahead with the dozens of rumours Im sure. Can't see the Galatasary one being a runner but if right offer comes in Im sure there's a possibility Summerville's head could be turned. Who knows
Morning all Our players probably take on more dribbles and runs at the opposing defenders than most, so that would explain the dispossessed statistic. Like Eire said, it's going to be a crazy time ahead as we are linked with players in and how we have everyone after our attackers.
On the Turk, the latest from Istanbul is that Leeds are willing to pay £13m for the player which is too rich for Everton and Burnley. They wont let him go for less so if you believe the reporter we are willing to pay. I dont see it? As far as being dispossessed more than any other club, I’m not surprised as most of the goals we concede come from losing the ball and Summerville has lost the ball a couple of times leading to a goal. Rutter has, Gray has, James has, Oiroe ….
Forest sack popular manager after home defeat to Spurs in 2nd season back in Prem. Good luck next season lads
Hope Forest go down now. He's worked miracles there. There was no chance of relegation under Cooper this season.
I just can't understand it, what do these type of clubs expect a top six finish? best Forest will ever do is stay in the prem and that's under cooper. i think their PL status will now be surely under threat.
He’s done a great job in very difficult circumstances. Bizarrely they were awful last season and really lucky to stay up in my view. Been better this season, with a bit less luck but still clear of relegation spots and they sack him.
Unfortunately I can't see anyone finishing below Burnley, Sheff Utd or Luton this season so they'll probably think they made the right decision at the end of the season. I really hope either Sheff Utd and Luton manage to scrape enough points together to put Forest and Bournemouth down.
Yeah, they were the worst side in the division last season imo. Fortunately for them teams missed sitters against them and they scored far more than they should.
