How are the 2 things linked? Makes no sense. A cyberattack at that scale has nothing to do with digital ID.
I think there will be attacks on infrastructure such as energy networks . Also, a cyber attack on SWIFT Service Bureau (effectively stopping interbank payments, FX transactions and trade swaps.
10 years ago that would have caused issues, nowadays infrastructure is designed with resiliency/failovers and multi-site architecture, it would cause minor disruptions. Energy infra could be an issue, but the IT involved is minimal and should be easy to restore. None of that is linked to digital IDs, and it'll be state driven. Russia/China/NK are already attacking us daily, there's not much more they can do. It's not Schwaab pretending we're at risk of attack and we're definitely not going to take ourselves offline.
Thanks for info on infrastructure design. Interesting stuff. Yes , there are lots of attacks daily. My company was recently effected by the MOVE IT attack . Didn’t say he is pretending . He’s predicting a ‘cyber pandemic’ is something that will lock us down . Much like how they predicted a ‘disease pandemic’ that locked us down. Will be interesting to see if their prediction comes true , again. Digital ID and Digital currency is coming . As you say , state driven but there will be a driver behind that be it a cyber attack , another ‘pandemic’, terror attack or ‘uncontrolled mass immigration’ etc A ‘thing’ will happen and a ‘solution’ will be suggested . People will nod .
If there's no electricity then no ATM machines, take out Internet, no Internet bank . Tesco can't take cash purchases petrol stations, subway trains airports etc etc. When the wi fi returns & the bank accounts have been whiped people will be demanding their savings are converted to CBDC good boy tokens . I've been to a massive Sainsbury's & their system was down & I couldn't even buy a pint of milk because they couldn't scan it . I just left a quid on the counter & left with it
