Wait until full time gaffer! There you go, that softens the blow a bit. Never mind a tough December; that’s our second spot guaranteed until January.
Just home & points difference remains the same thanks to Coventry. Should have been out of sight today with the chances created 1st half. Players caught up in the emotion seemed to be snatching at shots. Not quite sure how Broadhead was named man of the match today, personally, thought Morsy was immense and another game (slightly luckily) without a booking. Next 2 games are massive, if we can somehow get 4 points (I can dream) it will set us up unbelievably for 2nd half of the season where I think there is a good chance that Axel will replace Wolfy for the majority of games
Well played Coventry. Hampy, BigAl, Redruth & me happily jinxed Leeds today! I actually look frwd to our game at Elland Rd.
I think, and hope that you go on to get promotion. But a word of warning. The gap between the top two leagues is now massive. You only have to look at the table and see where last season's three promoted sides sit. Had it not been for Everton being docked ten points the gulf would be bigger still. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season.
A bit disappointing not to win after dominating the game for long periods but we should have been 3 or 4 goals up at half time but somehow managed to miss easy chances, so no complaints because theres no excuse for such poor finishing, it just underlines how much we need a quality striker in January. The positives are that we played good entertaining football even though 1 of their players cost more than our entire team so we are not the pushovers we used to be, and Covs draw at Leeds means that the 10 point gap remains the same which is our real fight this season, Leicester are still in reach but realistically they should win this league with the squad they have but theres the Boxing Day match to look forward to. Think back to not so long ago when the useless owner we had was making a career out of running the Club into the ground to such an extent that i doubt that there would even be an ITFC now if Gamechanger hadnt come along, Portman Road cant be run on Lg2 income which is where i think we would have been under Evans, so there are many reasons to be cheerful.
Evans period of ownership reminds me of the old joke about the best two days of owning a boat. The day you buy it and the day you sell it! Evans dug is out of a financial hole when he acquired the Club and did due diligence when he sold us to Gamechanger, thank feck he didn't sell us to some fly-by-night betting company or Middle Eastern dictatorship.
Too true BigAl. I have followed that simple boat mantra for 60 yrs! Small boats mind. And I still go out on the water as often as I can. 2 of life's passions, ITFC & boating.
I was working at Upton marina a few years ago Gaffer, chatting to a boat owner, said I was interested in buying a boat ( fishing on the Avon), he told me to go home, stand under a freezing cold shower then stamp 10 pound notes down the drain, if I enjoyed that, go and get a boat
