Good to get him tied down. There’ll be bigger boys sniffing around soon.

Thought he'd lost the dressing room last week?

    Not meeting owners 'raised expectations'?

    Utter madness, Rosenior out.<laugh>

Brilliant news, Liam signing an extension to his contract, onwards and upwards.

I think Brighton will already be sniffing. They usually have their dominoes lined up before anything happens. Hence the new deal.

They seem the most likely destination.

You could well be right, but I think Liam is savvy enough to know it is too early in his development to take on a job like that. Here, he has been given licence to grow and express himself, and I am sure he knows he still has things to learn.

If a prem club came calling for any manager in our league (bar maybe 1 or 2) it's going to be very difficult for them to turn down. The money, exposure and potential to test themself at the top table may never come again

"I don't want to go anywhere else and I think everyone knows that. The chairman (Acun Ilicali) knows it, Tan (vice-chairman Tan Kesler) knows it, and the gaffer. I think we're all kind of working together on that. So, yeah, I don't want to play my football anywhere else, and hopefully, you can see on the pitch how much I enjoy it here. I don't know why I would want to go elsewhere," Connolly told Hull Live.

"Hopefully, that'll get sorted. That's something that's kind of out of my hands at the minute. I'm just focusing on playing and I think I've got that relationship with the gaffer and obviously everyone at the club that hopefully we can come to some type of agreement soon."

"He gets me. I played my best football under the gaffer, both at academy level when I was playing with him and also now, so yeah, he's put a lot of trust in me. Like I said with the contract, I'd never, ever want to look elsewhere to play for any other club."

Tbf, I reckon Rosenior is in those 'bar 1 or 2'.
I fully expect he would want to continue his development with us for at least the next couple of years, then see where we and he is after that.
Ours is a 'project' to get excited about, near unique even?
Some say there is no loyalty in football these days, but I think he would be one of those exceptions to the rule for a while at least.

I get what you are saying and that is always an attraction, but we know Liam is an intelligent and thoughtful person, and we have seen coaches take on jobs probably too early in their development, fail at the higher level, then struggle to get back into a job level they had aspartation of making. I have a feeling Liam will only move when he feels he is experienced enough to handle the job.

You may both be right ( if that situation presents itself ) but I'm really not so sure. Life's short and football, especially management is a fickle business. what happens if he doesn't take it, things go badly for him and the opportunity doesn't come again?

Take the emotional Hull city side of it out and I think everyone would say take the opportunity.
