If they’d had a 20 point deduction, they would still only 3 points adrift of safety!

Eff me, are Stuttgart actually using the 4222 formation this evening...?

The league standings have surprised me this season. No one has really settled into a groove. Arsenal have been efficient and determined if unspectacular, which is why they're top.

The fact that a team as poor as West Ham are 8th and just a point off the European spots speaks volumes.

It's been a weird season so far, to say the least.

My concern is the current points totals.
On that basis I believe at least 76 pts will
be needed this season to finish PL top 4.

Just when you think Newcastle are dealt with Aston villa come along to drive another nail in your coffin.

I wonder if Villa are this season's Leicester? Because when the pundits and the officials get on the bandwagon it creates a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. So I get why the decisions in recent matches have gone their way. Their have been no outrageously bad decisions in their favour. But it's when a team starts getting all those decisions consistently, instead of some going the other way that you have to wonder. Keep em' peeled!

I thought their position was because they scored more goals than their opponants most games?

Good season so far though I’d say.

From first to the conference spots there’s considerable competition, there are probably 9 or even 10 teams vying for some form of European qualification, it’s how a competitive league should be.

Bloody hell, for some reason Facebook shoved a Man Utd page into my feed (then again they shoved Darren Grimes in there the other day, so Zuckwit isn't that good at harvesting data apparently...) and there was so much cope in their posts, starting with saying how great Antony is because he went past Kim Min-jae a couple of times against Bayern

That would be the match where they registered just one shot on target in the entire match...

Utterly bizarre. There was one issue there, not two. I agree no yellow or red, but you could make a case for one yellow, depending on what was said, but never two. Michael O'Liverpool strikes again.

Dalot got a yellow for dissent - one yellow per word it seems

It was a little tantrum, but a yellow would've sufficed.
The decision was wrong, too. It hit Salah last.

If Oliver was being consistent, then South American Andy Carroll would've got three.
Completely flattened octogenarian Jonny Evans, kicked the ball away and mouthed off.

Oliverpool let Salah off a booking for kicking the ball away, let Nunez off a second yellow for sarcastically clapping his booking and let Szolbaslai off a booking after a clear dive. Zero consistency and as usual almost all of it benefiting Varpool.

    Against Penited too<laugh>
Liverpool played like arrogant tw*ts for the whole game yesterday. Casual, entitled and disrespectful of their opponents and the officials.
    Got them nowhere.
If only Utd had had Forlan on the bench

Which is the "answer" to most of the questions posed on football forums. It means there is no point having opinions about results.

He's probably still better than Martial.
