Seriously though, he needs a whole season, but if he is still making massive howlers every other week this time next season, then it will be the worst keeper signing for United since Taibi. He basically has cost United CL progression this season though, with De Gea they make it through that group, I have no doubt.
Well, I feel a bit bad for not catching up on one of my favourite threads for a while so thought I'd drop in. Onana - exceeding all expectations. Tremendous stuff, it really is.
I wouldn't say that was Onana's fault, I'd ask who was meant to be marking the goal scorer, because from that angle it looks like no one. Easy to say from a few seconds clip, but if I was goalkeeper, I'd probably have moved forward in an attempt to narrow the space but that's easy to say with the aid of a camera and hindsight.
He absolutely should have come forward to close the gap. It's first thing I noticed too. Definitely a mistake on his part, although can also be said the defence let him down there.
