Nope, it reads what you refuse to accept, that no more lives would have been lost without our intervention in Ukraine, then to try and turn that spotlight on to Hungary is just pure madness. Yeah ok, Ukraine might not have been free from Putin, but it's like declaring how succesful the Americans were in Vietnam. Shame the US are running out of money, all those lives lost for what, what have they actually gained, oh yeah, a plastic token to join the EU lol.
The US is not running out of money. It's pre-existing money theyre debating the reallocation of, you haven't even read the articles about this or followed the news. The debate is not "can we afford" it's, "what's Bidens plan." Budget reallocation requires congressional approval. The US Vietnam thing makes no sense. Speak about what's happening today, not the 70s. You have a soft spot for Russia lol, you've made it very clear since this all started and your tune hasn't changed. You think it would have been easier if we just kept out of Putins backyard and allowed them to invade Ukraine. But Ukraine doesn't want that, they have gone all over the globe trying to raise money to prevent that. We have money available to give them and an arms industry capable of supporting them, so we do. What lives have been saved? Well, entire towns have been wiped out in Ukraine. All the towns that haven't been occupied by Russia. We saved them. Right wing governments are important, because they have a history of speaking like you and tacitly supporting the Russian President, Orban and Putin are genuine pals. The leader of Italy, buttered him up before gaining actual power. Hard right wing. Marine Le Pen Nigel Farage. The list goes on and on. They get hand outs from the fella, they love the money. That's why the dreaded words "right wing" need to be mentioned.
Ok let's speak about what is happening today... Well America has helped Israel massacre thousands of people, does that count, or you still blinded and got your sunshades on. America has also helped arm Ukraine, and thousands more have died on both sides as a result. But somehow this is all Hungary's fault, great joke that bro. But let's keep fighting, because somehow in the UK & EU we have more freedoms than Russians, I'm sure Palestinians in Gaza are enjoying those very freedoms we and America have to offer.
I don't care about the US, what's this obsession about constantly talking your geopolitics jargon. Didn't even read the rest, US, US, US. The bolded bit is as far as I got.
Ok let's take the US out of it, I'm sure Trump can help with that as far as Ukraine is concerned lol. Why you so bothered about the EU anyway, the UK aint even in it.
Hostages that the IDF shot were waving white flags when fired upon. Kinda indicates the type of actions the Israeli army is committing in Gaza, no? Indiscriminately shooting anything that moves. No different than Russian actions when they entered Ukraine. People on their way home from work turning a corner and being fired upon by an armoured vehicle. We should do our best to not get involved in any of this and instead watch TV. The Chase is a good option.
Fair enough I don't know enough about it so mentioned what was being reported. On the last bit, over the past couple of weeks I've also seen reports that for the first time Zelenski's handling of the war is being questioned by Ukraine's politicians and his own military commanders? Accusations of him micro-managing and trying to overrule decisions being made by his generals that's cost them on the ground. That's not a criticism btw I'm just getting a sense the direction of the war has turned all of a sudden. That doesn't mean Russia will win, but the vibe is now that Ukraine can't? Or at the very least this will get bogged down into another long and tedious conflict. So now I'm wondering what a positive outcome looks like. I can understand what Ukraine wants. I'm trying to get a handle on what Russia wants if there was to be a negotiated settlement. They talk about meeting their objectives but I genuinely don't know what these are. And before you say, I don't think it's a complete take over of Ukraine, so what is it.
Dont listen to Welshie and his fake tears for Ukraine He’s just trying to divert attention from the latest atrocities being committed by the Isrealis I know his game
Russia wants a pro Russian leadership in Ukraine just as there was until the revolution /coup in 2014
I'm sure they do, just as Ukraine and her allies want Putin removed as leader of Russia. But in the meantime, what matters is not what each side wants, but what they'd be willing to settle for. No Russian leader, of any persuasion, would willingly accept the loss of the Crimea btw.
More sinister than that for me - the white flag is universally recognised as a symbol of surrender - hostages had no need to surrender - Palestinians on the other hand would ... ergo... The poor hostages inadvertently labelled themselves as Palestinian by holding aloft that flag - and as 7,000 dead children have proven - and beyond any doubt - Netanyahu and the IDF place scant value on Palestinian 'life' ... or, indeed, the generally accepted rules of war ...
An issue here is how the borders were drawn up the by Soviet Union at the height of its power. They did not envision that it would collapse and later split up like a jigsaw. Ukraine getting Crimea was a bit of an economic disaster for Russia. No excuse to go in and start blasting people to pieces, but never the less, there is your motivation for war. I think it's obvious, Ukraine will never get Crimea back. I said on a previous post the only realistic outcome now, is Russia takes the land it currently occupies and Ukraine redraws it's borders to its currently held territory. Political suicide for Zelensky who at this moment is working with extremists, naturally as they're the ones who are helping him wage this war. An L for Putin too btw, who wanted no NATO expansion and may have in fact instigated 3 more nations joining NATO, Sweden Finland & Ukraine. Without even achieving the actual goal of his full-scale invasion. This invasion has been absolutely pointless and proven Russia is no superpower
I maintain Benny doesn't give a **** about these hostages anyway mate, think @brb called it ages ago. But, even less so, does he care about Palestinians. When the Israeli minister of defence is such an extremist too? I cannot see any word coming from the leadership that soldiers need to "calm down" in Gaza and avoid bloodshed. Infact, they're likely hyping soldiers up before they go in "remember these people killed Jewish babies" will be the message, not "remember these people are innocents, focus on Hamas." Soldiers with that mindset will do only one thing, kill.
Interesting analysis on the BBC yesterday by an ex-US defence strategist, now UN analyst, who said it was telling that Israel were: a) using a higher % of lower precision ordinance than had become the norm in conflicts of this type involving advanced powers, despite having access to high precision ones from the US. The ones they are using have an accuracy of 30m, as compared to the 3m accuracy of the laser guided ones, leading to higher collateral damage (including civilian casualties) than was possible. b) targeting air and missile strikes on relatively low level Hamas operatives and accepting the additional casualties associated with this He felt that this was what Biden was getting at with his comment that there were unacceptable levels of civilian casualties. It doesn't really come across as efforts to take out Hamas while avoiding civilian casualties.
