Have to say though our away from is now no wins in 6.

Same every time. Lack of striker capabilities. When we have the ball we have no killer in the box. If we want to progress we need it.

    People have discussing it.

I have to disagree with you. Every/most successful teams have a striking option. Just because we mostly manage without one doesn't make it right.

Yeah and a few years down the line when weve developed them we'll sell them and then do it all again with another kid. Personally i think we're far too big a club to be doing this as our main focus. There should be also a mix of experienced players that weve paid a decent amount of money for aswell.
Its not how i particularly like seeing my club run tbf, id like to see some ambition and a willingness to get back into the Prem like alot of the teams above us are showing.

I'm not sure it's looking for someone to blame it's more pointing out things that have been a consistent problem all season. The WBA and Leeds games were like a breath of fresh air but today we seemed to go back to how it was prior to that. We were so slow in possession, played our best and most dangerous player out of possession for a full half, looked wide open at the back and worst of all we had three forwards on the bench and only one of them got on and it was for three minutes. These are things that are happening regularly, not just today.

I don’t think it’s a proven striker thing personally I just think we need to have stuck one in from the start of the season so the lads learn how to play with him on the pitch. Starting one then hooking him and reverting to how we normally play isn’t helping.

As previously mentioned plenty of other teams in the league playing young lads with little to no experience up top. Amad had less than 1000 minutes of football to his name, most of which was in the SPL, and look what we seen when he was given a run of games. We’ve spoilt ourself with choice by signing so many players so the easiest thing for the manager to do is pull the striker early and throw someone else on whereas other teams who don’t have as many options as us would just have to leave him on to get that experience and game time he needs.

He's hugely over-rated. if the model means out he should of gone for whatever profit we could have got in Jan. We built him back up, fear is he's on a downwards trajectory again now. Flashes of brilliance but over a season he's a massive luxury and more often than not flatters to deceive.

I don't disagree, but the negativity and constant microscopic analysis of what went wrong and who is to blame is beyond irritating.

yeah, we could do with a proper striker - I think we have one in Rusyn but 2 managers now have failed to play him - he hasn't even got on the pitch under Dodds.
But, the club have committed to an approach that has brought more success than failure thus far and I think people should have a little more faith in the medium to long term model. Constant reactionary opinions about our model, based solely on the previous match seems unneccessary.

Anyway, this misery is logging off and going to the pub. I might feel better in the morning

Now you see why Dodds wouldn’t want the manager’s job.

Lots on here pointing out regular failings like square pegs in round holes/ sideways passing/ no strikers being played/ Patto’s kicking and slow build up play letting the opposition get their defence all in place.
I bet some are ready to criticise him and a few results like this one would mean him leaving like TM.
By not taking the job he can go back to his much more secure job which probably wouldn’t be an option if he was made manager.

I’m happy keeping Dodds in his proper job. If Beale gets them playing well then great, if not he will be out by the end of the season…but Dodds will be here to stay and I reckon that’s what we all want.

So why didnt we play the same team , leaving Seelt out was a massive blunder that affected the whole team , not just at the back , and why we start with Roberts I will never know. Ba was poor both games and should have been replaced at HT by Rusyn . Today we saw the old Dodds playing almost exactly the same formation that cost the manager his job, why I will never understand, especially after the Leeds game which was the polar opposite to this shambles.

    People well that was unexpected.
    Max MOM
city defended well against a very good Sunderland team.
    Actually enjoyed watching it.
First half we were more threatening going forward which is a good sign.
Second half was like being at the battle of the Alamo.
Certainly more improvement required but I never expected that win today.
Hull hammered Cardiff 4-0 today another tough game on Friday night.

P.S liked your number 10 some player him-good luck the rest of the season lads.

Its fine when playing no striker is working. When it isnt and we need to get a goal the reluctance to break the glass and press the big red button with the word 'striker' written on it is certainly head scratching at the very least. Very frustrating for the rest of us.

Ba must do something special in training because I’m baffled at how he has been in the team for 2 weeks running. I’ve seen enough of him to know he’s not ready yet.
