These home games are getting easier and easier.

Stu was excellent today. Stephens was great; played two or three key passes to set up chances. Happy for Mara and Charly.

With Ipswich and Leeds drawing a good weekend so far.

So those two easy opponents against which we only managed draws; Watford won 5-1 away at Preston, and Cov drew at Leeds.

    Pretty crazy league.

Can’t ask for too much more than we are doing. I’ll be happier to accept boring draws away from home if we are thumping teams at st Mary’s

Get in there. Great performance, we really turned the screw when we needed to.

Really liked the intense pressing deep in their half

Never mind a draw. Infuriated by slow, ponderous, narrow football though!

    Today was the tonic!

(Has anyone made a ten-man joke yet?)

Imagine how many we'd have scored against eleven men!

    Finally!

A whole 90 minute performance. And a healthy scoreline.

Everyone was good, but Stu and Edozie were particularly excellent.

Really pleased with that performance. Totally dominated them, even when they had 11 on the pitch. Stuart was back to his best, which always makes us look as if we have goals in us.
So many good individual performances especially from Edozie. He was unplayable, at times, though I thought his crossing lacked accuracy.
The substitutes all made contributions but I think Charly’s vision and passing and Mara’s movement added another dimension to our game.
If we could channel consistency into those 3 young’uns, we could become quite a potent force, going forward.

Really professional performance today, at 90 mins I was going to say ‘good win, but just missing that ruthlessness’, but to react to a penalty miss and follow it up with two quick goals immediately makes things so much better.

Also the exact two players you would want to score, Alcaraz to make up for the most South American penalty miss possible and Mara because that was absolutely vital for him.

Didn’t really think Blackburn were up to much but it was tense until we got the second, after that we were utterly dominant.

    A good day.

I've genuinely lost count of how many games we are unbeaten. :1980_boogie_down:

The intent we showed to score more goals right through to the very end was excellent, starting with Bazunu. It was almost like we were losing 1-0 and had no choice but to try and score. Really, really good to see. Even if it hadn't led to the extra two goals, I'd have still been happy that we at least tried.

I appreciate it's a lot easier to show that intent when 2-0 up and playing 10 men - but nevertheless, it's something I want to see more from us when winning. Intent.

Couldn't have asked for much more than that. Lovely Christmas presents from the lads!

Delighted Alcaraz got on the score sheet after his penalty **** up, hopefully he wouldn't have done that in a less comfortable position.

Didn't think we were great in the first half but once we got the goal I felt confident there'd only be one winner. Nice to see us come out in the second half on the front foot and pushing to kill the game.

Blackburn were rubbish and the scoreline was a fair one.

2.5 months unbeaten now. We frequently fail to achieve that even with the off-season included!

Getting to that point where we look up records now. 19 is our longest ever unbeaten run, in 1921!

Would be amazing to match or beat that after the dross of the last few years.
