Finished 1-1. I'd have taken that, good point, seems like an improvement on recent performances.

Still got a bit of life in them. I thought we would get roasted and stuffed like a Christmas Turkey today.

 

A decent point BUT slipping further into mid table nothingness.

This team is so inconsistent.

 

The only thing consistent about us is our mid-table mediocrity.

Still no higher than last season, despite our billionaire owners, new super-professional SMT and ridden of that c*nt Sandgaard.

But our Xg means we should have won today and we were robbed by the ref, but we’ve shown some interest in some new players despite getting nowhere near the actual the asking price, so let's see where we are on 1st February.

 

I fear a shambles of a January window if we are in the same position points wise behind the play-offs.
Scott will be flying with his PR bull**** but behind the scenes they'll be writing the season off.
Cue bringing in some more carthorses to limp us through the last five months.

 

20 games ... 9 points off the top 6.

46 games ... 20 points off the top 6?

That would put Charlton on around 54 to 57 points.
Not even in the top half.
And still no back-to-back league wins, and only 1 away win in the league this season, out of 9 games played.

Also...

Charlton's wins this season have all come against teams currently in the bottom 11.
However, we have only played 2 away games against those teams.
So Charlton still have to travel away to 9 teams in the bottom 11 of the table, all of whom will be fighting for survival in the second half of the season.
With our way form, we will be lucky to collect 9 points from those 9 games put together.

 

Perhaps my prediction of 61 points is a little optimistic.

As for Smudgers 76……..

 

And of course we still only have 3 clean sheets from 20 league games played.

Another indicator (along with our inability to win 2 games in a row) that Charlton are nowhere near top 6 contenders.
All the top 6 teams have been winning 3 or 4 straight games regularly.

 

I’m probably as far out as certain people predicting a 4-5 nil drubbing yesterday
( and I won’t be losing any money )

 

Just another stat for the collection;

Charlton have now used 31 different players this season so far, just for 20 league matches.
And the January transfer window doesn't open for over a fortnight.

The last time Charlton won promotion (2018-19) Lee Bowyer used 25 players before January, and only 29 all season.
And that included Jake Forster-Caskey and Taylor Maloney making one sub appearance each.
