It'll be interesting to see how many of the fans stamping their feet about "safety" would want a ticket for the replay in another "unsafe" environment.

Where was the outcry when thousands had to move for the Everton quarter final, or when Hartlepool had 10,000 here. It's happened a few times before, what's the big deal. People are a ****ing joke nowadays and have to have everything their own way.

Think this is more about our season ticket holding fans being displaced for Newcastle fans for a derby game. Fair enough if you don’t get that. As you don’t go to the games, it doesn’t impact you, so not sure why you are so bothered by it, you’ve made your feelings clear.
The people I sit with don’t want to leave the game but are up for moving away from that stand. I’m happy to do that too.

No one is being displaced, it's a totally different competition, and regulatory body, than the one SCs are valid for.

If there's a replay there'll be thousands of Sunderland supporters displaced 15 miles ...

... there'll be 50,000 Mags, no big deal.

Yeah, there are lots of the older fans who have sat in those seats for years. Getting displaced for the filth is absolutely lifting.

Rather than walking out why don't you just not go to show your disgust?

I get where you're coming from mate but they weren't ever guaranteed those seats for a cup game were they?

As a season ticket holder, it's universally accepted that you get first option on your usual season ticket seat for cup fixtures. That's been in place for such a long time.

Massive contradictions in the value of the fa cup in this thread when compared to the Fulham away game last year.

Last year apparently, despite us having a similar zero chance of winning the competition, we absolutely had to risk Ross Stewart and jeopardize our league position as it would be an insult to the fans if we didn't. But now it's ok to move our own fans for the filth?

Mainly because the stadium is only half full for cup games at best would you agree? Even then i'm sure that they would block out some sections for staffing purposes and safety etc if the game was against Grimsby for example.

No. It's because it's a home fixture and the fans who are sessont ticket holders get first choice to take up their seat.

As shown by the inevitable appearance from the idiotic Mod ...

... the Mags will be laughing at some of the hysterical reactions from our supporters.

People having to sit in a different seat, ffs <doh>

Instead of getting out the smelling salts why can't people just get excited about the match and an unexpected derby.

It seems some people are using it as another convenient excuse to have a pop at the club.

I’m buzzing for the derby. Just don’t see why the club have given them our seats and BCB. Should have left them upstairs and if that couldn’t be safely policed then reduce the allocation. Many other clubs manage to say no and get round this. Would have also helped get more none ST holding SAFC fans in the ground instead of giving them tickets.

I believe the club would've given the Mags no tickets at all, but they simply don't have that prerogative.

Newcastle are entitled to ask the FA for their full entitlement and Sunderland have argued their case, hence a compromise.

We've previously restricted away support but that was the EFL who aren't so precious as the FA, regarding allocations.

No offence but the idea of people walking out in a huff, in a vital league game, sickens me.

Can just walk to another stand, don’t need to leave the ground.

Wouldn't that disrupt the view, and game, for everyone who has to stand up so people can wander around?

If you're protesting about discomfort, for yourself, it seems a bit hypocritical to disrupt people's comfort tbh.

Christ this is ridiculous. I have no expectation that I can sit in my usual seat for a cup game or playoff match. People up in arms that 'their' seat might be sat in by someone else. Just enjoy the occasion or if you can't sit anywhere other than the North stand, don't go.

Petitions, walkouts etc. Absolutely over the top entitled reaction.
