Believe police have made mistakes before. I was just sharing something other fans are getting behind, which I think is a good idea. Fair do’s there’s 3 people on here not impacted and disagree. Just the way it goes, no point going round in circles.
fwiw I think if people impacted want to do something, they’re within their rights to. I disagree with it but wouldn’t blame them. I also question what it would achieve. Tickets will be sold by then so it can’t be fixed
It's a stretch to say they're impacted imo. A season ticket doesn't include a cup ticket or guarantee your seat.
Despite the club comms saying secure your seat for the cup game when advertising the part season cards? And 3/4 of rhe ground being able to secure their season card seat for this game? It's not hard to see why some are angry
If you can still get a ticket then I don't really see the issue. A bit of a grumble? Maybe. Some people are screaming and calling for the owners to leave. It's incredible how fragile some people are in my opinion. Completely over the top and entitled behaviour.
Again, club comms say secure your seat. Not a seat. Subtle difference, but important. We then give our home end to the mags, admittedly because we haven't dealt with the many issues having away fans upstairs has caused, but even so as I said I can see why people are angry
Yeh I can absolutely see why people are annoyed. I just think the annoyance is disproportionate. Hopefully the club will be able to properly explain the process that’s gone into it, and hopefully the more sensible of those affected understand.
"Secure your seat" can be read either way. It's not clear and definitive language. But all in all, you can go to the match, you just have to sit somewhere else for 1 game. It's really not worth the levels of hysteria that we're seeing online at the moment in my view. I respect that we're unlikely to agree though, so I'll bow out of the debate.
I live away so only usually get to a couple of games a season, the boxing day fixture with my dad and brother has become a bit of a Christmas routine for us, when we're playing at home that is. Logged into safc.com last week to find there's a new rule for this fixture preventing purchase unless you've recently bought tickets for other fixtures, does anyone know of any way i can get my hands on 3 tickets? Thanks.
I'm amazed how precious some of our fans have suddenly become about the north stand, there's usually nee ****er in it anyway !
what a bonkers rule. Perhaps email the ticket office and explain? I emailed them earlier this week and got a response within a couple of hours.
I fully understand why they don’t want to move. But it’s not the clubs fault, F.A rules and the SAG have given it the go ahead. The club even did they wanted them up top with 3k (I think anyway).
RAWA don’t speak for me or any of the hundreds of SAFC fans (mainly many years seasons card holders) that I know. They seem to think they speak for us all, when it’s just a handful of knackers passing off their opinions as ‘all of us’ They lost me when they put out a ****ing idiotic joint statement ‘on behalf of all fans’ around the takeover that not any of us were consulted on. Every Sunderland fan is equal in what their ‘stake’ in the club is. They need to remember that. I’ve had a season ticket since 1987. Lads I know that never go to games love the lads just as much but circumstances dictate. Writing what they like on the internet doesn’t make them super fans and doesn’t make them ‘our voice’. Knackers.
What a surprise How fcken entitled and precious can people get, honestly mate it's a pathetic idea. Our league placing is infinitely more important than a tie in a competition we won't win ... ... this obsession some people have with Newcastle is a bit sad imo, they'd laugh their heads off if we walked out of our stadium because of them. If it was Walsall bringing 15,000 no one would care, in fact they'd be crowing about the money coming into the club. So 6 of you can't all sit together, good grief, do you need to hold hands or something? I'd sometimes arrive late in the Fulwell End, pre-mobile phones, and never find the lads all match. It didn't spoil my entertainment or lessen the support I gave ... if you feel so strongly why don't you just boycott the Newcastle game ffs. Releasing a statement ffs, who do they think they are ... ... they're not a spokesman for anyone but a few lads bashing away in their bedrooms
The most juvenile thought i've heard since i've been on this site, totally pointless and won't mean a thing to the top brass
