They have Ryan Reynolds, on a global recognition scale that makes Wrexham Britain's second city.

I actually preferred North Wales to the south tbh. Probs where I'll end up in about a decade.

The Israeli military has killed another three hostages during its campaign in Gaza, after misidentifying them as a "threat".

The IDF has named them as Yotam Haim, Samer Talalka and Alon Shamriz.

Meanwhile Benny Netanyahu says “My heart goes out to the grieving families in their difficult time."

He praised the soldiers, saying that they "penetrate the sacred mission of returning our abducted, even at the cost of their lives” (they've managed to kill 70+ and found 2 in 10 weeks, but way to go!)

He added that Israel was committed to bringing all the hostages back home.

"Even on this difficult evening, we will bind up our wounds, learn the lessons and continue with a supreme effort to return all our abductees home safely."

This lunatic is going to kill everyone.

Agree, just like the rest of the fanatics. It's the same for the extremists on both side. Not about the ppl, all about the (sacred) land.

This is where the EU is so flacid.

A country like Hungary, which has a far right government, with a leader openly called "the little dictator" in EU leadership - can veto a bill to support Ukraine all on its own without a single mechanism to prevent that.

There's actually more people frustrated by McDonalds sending free burgers to the IDF than there is of a fat toad allowing a European country to be invaded.

It appears to be personal, Orban and Zelensky just don't like each other.

Just let Ukraine invade Hungary bro, see how the conversation turns when he asks for military aid.

I'm against it all personally, I see the EU's interference regarding Ukraine as bad as America's stance with Israel, neither Federation actually care about those they supply agreements or weapons to, it's just they both occupy land that those Federations have interest in and they just tart it up as their rights of freedom to choose and that we somehow care. No one has given a shhite about Ukraine since the 7th Oct. What was it, we've run out of money mate lol. Both the EU and the US are nowt more than economic weapons.

That's all well and good, but just because Israel is killing innocents, doesnt mean we can let Russians kill innocents here.

I don't really care what right wing nuts prattle on about, Ukraine is a country and barging in and shooting people there isn't really on.

Giving them money which would otherwise be sent to Uganda to build a sewage pipe, or help France continue controlling Northern Africa is better than letting some bloke in a **** suit, tell thousands of Russian teenagers they need to die for his wikipedia page.

Countries like Hungary are just pissed off cos they want more financial handouts. The only reason they're even in the EU in the first place.

Also, the bigger issue and the elephant in the room is less to do with people not being interested in Ukraine (as in the people in power) but the Biden administrations lack of discussion on the long term vision of supporting this conflict.

It's highly likely now, that Putin (despite his bullshit press conferences) would settle for redrawing the Ukrainian map and simply annexing the currently controlled territory into Russia. Many in the US and Europe would view that as a win for the West and a big L for Russia. Which it really is.

Russia aimed for complete regime change and instead gained 3 Oblasts two of which are quite poor. However would gain full constitutional control over Crimea.

In return, Ukraine would remain Ukraine, likely a much stronger Ukraine which has clearly aligned with the West. Lets not forget, Ukraine hasn't even had control over most of that territory since 2016, it's not like this is a MASSIVE chance of the status quo for them.

If Biden wishes to keep funding the conflict he needs to make a case that Ukraine can win it, maintain all of it's territory AND win back Crimea. How long would that take, how many soldiers on both sides need to die, would it cost us all bililions upon billions?

Putin is 70, do we wait for him to die and Russia to collapse politically (which it probably will.)

Biden just mumbles and bumbles and stammers and stutters.

Trump has been quite clear on all this, just end it where it stands now and let Russia take the obvious L and Ukraine to move on.

I was following this when both Zelensky and Orban turned up for the inaugaration of that fruitcake in Argentina. Initially I thought is this really a good look for Zelensky but then I can understand he's trying to get money from wherever he can.

But I wanted to know why he was meeting with Orban over there and found out the problem between them stems from some dispute about the rights of a section of Hungarian community in Ukraine. Things to do around protecting their culture and language which Ukrainian governments have legislated against. I didn't look beyond this so I don't know why Zelensky can't just tell Orban those restrictions will be sorted. I think there's more to it than them two not liking each other, or at least maybe they've come to not like each other because of those issues.

I agree though, this block by Hungary on the funding does highlight the EU has created its own problems by the countries it's allowed to join.

Barging in and killing innocents, remind me how many people have died in the Ukraine/Russia war since our intervention, just so I fully understand what a grande job we are doing of saving lives lol. Oh and then tell me how many lives you think would have been lost, without our intervention, as a collective, so EU and America to, this should be good for giggles. As for Uganda or North Africa add on any totals there as well, just for the heck of it. As for other financial handouts such as Hungary, are they the only ones that use the EU for that goal (see Trebs post for more detail, on the last line ), I don't know what world you are living in bro, but down here on Earth shhite is happening and trying to blame a country for being right wing (Hungary) is laughable....oh no, hang on, actually you do have a point....Israel! Dead people in Gaza somehow don't count, when it comes to being right win but Ukranian dead people do, strange to say the least. Hungary or Israel, who should the world trust more, answers on a postcode to Pinkie Holidays and bicycle hire, c/o Gaza Tourism, The Seafront bomb shelter.

Hungary has the same problems with Romania, I believe. This is all a holdout of when Hungary was a player on the stage many years ago, they still have grievances about the outcomes of both World Wars.

Orban sabre rattles about these things because every single populist government in Europe does this **** these days. Some eat it up, hook line and sinker.

Zelensky likely can't just "do it" because Ukraine itself does have a nationalist element which right now, are fighting on the front lines and backing his government. He cannot appear weak on anything.
