Why are people getting so angry at the club and making comments like 'all this talk of upcoming continental coaches and we end up with Beale'. At what point has the club commented or made any noises to say who they were talking too, or the type of manager. It's all be rumours and internet bollocks, but thats being blamed on the club. I could understand if they'd made a statement saying 'We are going after a coach who has XXX experience and plays YYY style of football.
That's what its looking like for me too. Fair enough, their call, but he has done nothing as a manager really, and I've heard the same as others about him being disliked at Ibrox. I heard it back then too mind, not just now. The jargon stuff is just something to hide behind when you can't communicate properly, and unless you're winning every week, the players will hate it. I always assumed that's whe Lee Johnson had such horror runs of form; you cant get player's heads up with meaningless clichés which have elastic meanings. But it's Speakmans call all the way you'd think. But let's not hear any more soaring rhetoric about higher standards and promotion. He's their guy, so he's our guy. I'll back him like I back them all, but he is not an Improvement IMO.
i agree with that, but what scares me is his man management is ment to be stinking, rangers players hated him
He must be class in interviews. My mate is a season ticket holder at Rangers and said he thinks he’s a good coach but has zero man management skills. Something we desperately need with a young squad. bizarre.
I’m actually not so bothered about the man management aspect, as Dodds is going to be there and the players seem to love him.
They made a statement about employing a coach to bring exciting football which the fans would enjoy. Just after sacking Mowbray who had mostly done just that. I know of no one who can say that Beale has ever done this.
That’s fair enough mate, may be he’s learned from it or may be the players weren’t professional enough. Always two sides.
How am I over reacting , everywhere you look fans are unhappy about the appointment. So if it starts badly then they obviously there will be fan reaction to it. Alot of people were unsure but most were OK with the Mowbray appointment, there wasn't a reaction like this . So to compare the two is irrelevant.
We’ve pushed on with every appointment they’ve made, let’s wait and see and back them wholeheartedly. HTL KTF
Having g had a read on here, otr and other social media places I'm starting to get rhe impression this appointment might not be overly popular
That's what I'm hoping. Massively underwhelmed But lets see what happens on the pitch. If he has learned from his short comings at Rangers then we could have a gem on our hands. If he hasn't is another Lee Johnson. Time will tell
I didn’t mean you specifically I mean the fanbase in general when you said there’s not a positive comment anywhere. I’m confident Beale will be better than TM here. People are forgetting how highly rated he was/is. A lot of other coaches and former players speak very highly of him. I’m normally the most miserable b*stard going but I don’t think this is worse than having Mowbray or Dodds personally. Not quite the excitement of Will Still though.
I was sick as a chip when we brought Mowbray in, he was a breath of fresh air ! I hope I feel the same way in a few weeks, I will reserve judgement. Won’t enjoy my pint as much tonight though
RR have spoken to LoftForWords, that good QPR blog about him. The one crumb of comfort in that is this: In terms of style of play, what can we expect? I actually think it could potentially be a good fit, annoyingly. You’ve got the sort of players who would fit really well into the style that was working briefly when we were doing well last September and October. I’ve seen a good deal of angst from your fans online and I understand that, but I begrudgingly do wonder whether this could go pretty well. He’s got it all laid out for him there, the base work has been done, it’s annoying to see him fall on his feet like this to be honest. He likes the ball on the deck, he likes to attack, it’s always a back four, it’s usually 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Nothing revolutionary but attractive enough. Not at all dissimilar from what you’ve already been playing when I’ve seen you.
