Had a shocker at Rangers My pals up there say they still can’t work out what he was trying to do was excellent as an assistant and coach but clueless when given the managers job. He may have learned from that but I don’t fancy him
Nor do you completely ignore the tail and only look after the head of the dog ... ... it's a club, a team and a collective sum of it's parts. Teamwork only works when everyone feels part of the team, from Doris the tea-lady, through the club/team captain and all the way down to the manager
So is the name in the frame you speak of beale or not? He's unattached isn't he? I'm sure there'd be a will to get it done quickly on both ends.
I’m quite relaxed about the Mowbray replacement. They have got it right with each change so far, Mowbray better than Neill who was better than Johnson so they have lots of credit with their appointments, same as with the players brought in. They are getting it right. I’d never heard of Still or Hellberg and I’m sure there’s lots of other choices out there that we don’t know about. Dodds is a safe pair of hands for however long it takes to get the right man in but I want him 100% to return to his normal job when the new guy comes in, he is essential to our model and not to be made manager/coach/whatever for a year or so before getting sacked. It’s fun speculating but we have seriously good people running the club now and I have faith in them.
Why is everyone losing their **** over Beale? Just because someone claims his odds have shortened? The bookies only shorten odds when a few people place a bet. There's no actual insight I could stick £5000 on Steve Bruce and his odds would shorten dramatically. Would everyone start believing he's the next HC?
I still think it'll be someone from abroad who comes in. Can't see it being Beale myself. If Fabrizio Romano knows there's someone new at the top of the list, surely their name will come out sooner rather than later.
Badly worded I meant assistant coach. Gerard runs a system of multiple assistant coaches of which he was one. He was excellent at that but seemed out of his depth when he was in charge. Hit and miss at QPR and pretty awful at Rangers. The style he wants to play pretty much fits the bill but what I hear from Rangers fans is that he couldn't seem to get it across and the players looked lost at times. Like I say he may have learned but I'm not sold on him.
