Subs were pointless but Eddy can't control Schar just giving up and Wilson being 60 We could have probably done a Jose and parked the bus after the first goal
Indeed but we also need to know how much money we have spent and where the expectations of our owners are. We were in prime position games ago. And also at half time. We ****ed that up. If I was the owners I would be asking questions. If we think we should not be. Then we are a ****ty tin pot club who are in the lights.
Mate we've still got players that played in the championship out there. The squad isn't good enough but shouldn't be burned out this early.
Jan will be interesting If Dan Ashworth signs a Ugandan 12 yr old for 16 million he can go and jump in the Tyne. Smug ****
I wasn't aiming my post at anyone in particular mate, i'm just trying to lift my own mood more than anytning, i agree that certain things should be criticized when necessary, my main one is our awful set pieces.
The most irritating thing is the ridiculous unrealistic expectations that some have and the knee jerk reactions every time there’s a bump in the road. This is accompanied with an inability to look at the full picture or with any degree of perspective. For example, we may have spent £400M ( I’ve not bothered to check) but then, firstly, look at our starting position in relation to squad quality and, secondly, amazingly other teams have spent the same or even more. And I haven’t even mentioned the injury list. We all agreed that it would take time but then some seem to think we should be the finished product already. No logic, no rationale and no sense. City are the most recent example and even without FFP they didn’t win a trophy until about 4 years after being taken over. For me, I will enjoy and watch as the team/squad improves over time and I have no doubt that our time will come and that we will eventually win a trophy. And when we do I will thoroughly enjoy it.
Too many players that really just won't cut it for the next phase of the build. Dubs Lascelles schar longstaff and on evidence Wilson ... that's almost half the team that fell apart.
