Three points is three points. Really great result and pleased for the keeper who has taken loads of **** on here. Well done to Rosie on the changes.
He wasn't at his mercurial best tonight, far from it, but when he does play well we as a team play well, bit early to write him off yet me thinks
We were dross for over 65 minutes. Can hardly say subs were inspired. Anyone would have done to unfreeze those on the park. Fortunate but wecome 3 pts.
His good performances seem fewer and further in between though. Think when we have three games in quick succession he really needs resting or his legs go too much.
Did someone mention that LR might have lost the dressing room? Didn't look like it at the end. Great reaction from every players at the end of the game. All for one and one for all.
He’s off form for certain. Past it? I wouldn’t say so. Players go on a long time playing the way he plays. The upcoming AFCON may not be bad timing for him but there’s plenty of games for him to improve his performances prior to going. Traore looked very bright centrally again though, which is good. He just feels like a very lightweight option to play in the deeper role and is prone to getting caught in possession, which would have pretty dire consequences in that position, so not really sure what the answer is there.
I wouldnt disagree re the games in quick succession, but for me when he is playing well he is the heartbeat of the team. When he isn't because of the level he performs at it, it tends to stand out. But I agree re your point of games in quick succession, his legs don't seem to have the capacity
Listening to Liams interview on Sky after, he used plan ABC &D changing shape and formation to match what wasn't working, bringing subs on to suit the changes, afterwards complementing the whole team, even those not playing UTT
