Last four games very poor, even the win at Preston. A very poor city team at present, against some average to bad teams....Bulut needs a good transfer window with an emphasis on a marksman! Bit obvious, but hey! Masky
Well, that was very disappointing and exceptionally underwhelming. Slow build up play. Poor passing and too much panic when defending. Some really poor decision making to boot. Birmingham looked bang average too but broke in numbers and at pace when they had chance, a complete contrast to our slow and cumbersome efforts. Yes we may have a case for feeling slightly aggreived about 2 possible fouls in the build up to their goal but our defending for it was comedic. They also had the stand out player on their side in Jordan James in my opinion. Was surprised to see Etete hooked as early as he was but that aside I don't think Bulut could do much more with the team. The blame lies firmly with the players for this one in my book. Too sloppy, too slow and too many wrong decisions. Onwards and upwards though.... January can't come quick enough.
My match report. Abysmal. The end. Now taxis for Tanner, Bowler, Ugbo, Robinson… Feel free to add to this list.
Staggeringly bad performance. Too many players had poor games - Grant was the pick of these and Bowler when he came on was as bad. Why does Siopsis persist in long diagonal balls when they never reach the target? Only Colwill & Etete going forward offered anything. City must have wasted 30 minutes passing it around the back; they’re not good enough to do that and all it does is frustrate the crowd. One can blame a truly appalling refereeing display but in reality City wouldn’t have scored if they played until Xmas day.
jck - I assume Ralls was injured and the 3 subs you mentioned did little to improve things. Have we missed anyone?........
Very generous WoL ratings all round. Meite booked again for arguing about a throw in. We showed a lot less once he and Etete were subbed off. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
Exactly. And they had a lot of injured players. Just shows you how bad we are. Oh and good point for your boys.
We won 1 in the first 5 and now 2 in the last 7 giving us the grand total of 3 wins in 12. When you play Wintle, Grant, Siopsis and Meitie then it is easy to see why. Now bring on Romeo to that bunch and you get what you asked for.First 5 games we were scoring with Ubgo getting 3 in 5. Now we have Meitie and the results speak for themselves. Having Meitie who cant score because he does other stuff is like having a goalie who cant stop a shot but does other things, what in gods name is that kind of logic when football is simply scoring goals and stopping goals. Trying to educate people on this forum to simple facts is a lost cause.
Robbie don’t be like BFB, man has no friends….that is apart from BT but he carry’s some weight has to be said! Masky
Looks like he didn't want Siopis or Wintle in midfield. Ralls and Ramsey out injured. Who does he suggest plays there instead? Better options than Meite or Grant upfront? Bowler, Tanner and Robinson came on and were less effective. Romeo came on as Ng had to be taken off. Any other right back options? As for Ugbo, my sides hurt from laughing so much at a non-footballer. Years ago Southampton signed some guy for a big fee only to later find out he had never played before. Ugbo's older cousin maybe? His whole comment shows he can quote bare facts but has no idea as to everything that goes into a game of football and the many roles players have to do. Just thinking on that, perhaps you have set up a separate account Masky........
I don't think so Robbie. Neither post much on the Swans board now and I think they both have higher standards of wumery.
Just watched the top 5 goals v Birmingham on the club website. The 2 shown by Harry Wilson in his hat trick are just superb. Pity there were no fans in the ground to see him play for us that season
