We keep signing players who haven't been scouted. It just doesn't work. Watching edited clips should never be a way to judge a player.
Even after the scout recommends a player the manager should watch him. Curbs would watch a player home and away, 5 or 6 times usually, against tough opposition before signing him. That way he got good characters. It's the manager who stands or falls b y recruitment, so he needs to see the player.
Leicester City are playing Millwall next. City will go top of the Championship when they win, with the highest points tally ever for the number of games they will have played. Millwall will be on the very edge of the drop zone. I'm tempting fate big-time now....
