“Will Still is ready to pack his bags. The Belgian coach met with the leaders of Sunderland and was very interested in the English project”
Brilliant. I said the 3 countries in which we were coach hunting and that we spoke too. I didn't know it was KLD who personally intervened with this one. Get it done.
He was in my pick of three from the off along with Potter and McKenna. Hopefully he gets a fair budget in Jan to really make us a force in the 2nd half of the season.
Said it after West Brom, will say it again tonight, yes we’re in the championship and still manages in the French top tier, but this is such an exciting club and exciting squad to work with, we’ve still got a massive pull for any manager trying to make a name in the game
L’Equipe reporting that Will Still approached us, not the other way around. It’s like I said the other day, I think he’s wanted out from Reims ever since he was forced to be their manager!!! Ironically https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Art...encontre-les-dirigeants-de-sunderland/1436683
Ownership group have shown they have been ambitious and ruthless. You have to think about dodds too and how much he currently enjoys his normal role .....
Sure, if he doesn't want it fair enough, but we might have a maverick on our hands that we're all assuming is just a regular first team coach.
True but KLD wants a name. If it's someone who speaks speakman corporate football too, then they will go all out for that.
A manager with continental contacts in both Belgium and France. I am fairly sure he'll know a player or two that fits the clubs remit.
I'll stick me neck out and say if we play well on saturday and don't lose, I'd give him it until the end of the season.
we’ve just sacked a manager because he constantly twisted about the recruitment! You now think we are gonna hire one and let him choose who we buy? Not gonna happen imo like.
We got rid of a manager for saying our recruitment is the wrong way to go. I'm fairly sure Still will be all for the current transfer policy.
