Piss poor first half. Need to get our passing in order and work as a team. And the fucikng ref is a ****ing joke!
I've not been impressed by Sunderland. Their plan is to give it to Jack Clarke and hope for the best. Unfortunately for us, Jack Clarke looks in the mood whilst our expensively assembled front line can't trap a bag of cement between them. At the other end, Archie and Spence need to swap as Archie will get a red soon. Meslier made a really great save but for some reason is allergic to crosses and its causing us problems. We've controlled the game for the most part. Just need a couple of individuals to turn up 2nd half or we'll have to put Paddy on. Hopefully it improves 2nd half.
We rarely seem to have just one player not on their game, none of our front line turned up for that half. Piroe off, move Gray to the middle and Spence needs to move over to RB covering Clark. Not ideal but put Anthony on at LB

It was a good save by Meslier, but they should never have had the corner, it was his flapping and positioning that gave it away. We pass along the back for too long, it gives us possession but we need a calmer approach further up the field. Maybe the conditions are causing us the greater problem
Sort J Clarke we sort the Mackems everything dangerous goes through him. worried about Archie on this wet pitch and home ref. we just need to get some momentum we look out of ideas upfront. to many looking for fouls rather than getting stuck in.
Archie torn to shreds on the RB slot against Clarke and Huggins and already on a yellow. Spence needs to swap sides and maybe put Dan James as LB with Gnonto coming on. We need better passing and more ball to Piroe and Rutter
Just seen the replay and Rodon actually had a double own goal attempt. He hit meslier with a header from the free kick then back headed the one from the corner for the save. Few minutes later Bellingham looked like his man for the free header. We started brightly but are getting crowded out up top.
I thought we dominated the early stages of the first half but then they got into the ascendancy. A great save by Meslier, almost as good as the one he made late on against Leicester, but he still doesn't inspire confidence, particularly under the high ball. Really hope that Farke has strong words with the boys at halftime as otherwise I can see us losing this. Especially as that the fcuking ref seems to be their 12th man.
I thought the same with Meslier costing us the corner but I'm aware that I'm on his case lately so I'm glad you picked up on it.
Too many fancy flicks and diving first half. Time to man up and get hold of the ****ing thing up top.
Actually I’d consider taking Piroe off and putting someone on man marking Clarke stick to him like glue go 10 v 10
