According to Bristol Live, Rovers have appointed Matt Taylor. Taylor was recently sacked from the Rotherham hot seat and had a stint at Exeter City. Welcome to the Gas, Matt. Thoughts? Exclusive: Bristol Rovers set to appoint former Exeter City boss Matt Taylor as new manager - Bristol Live (bristolpost.co.uk)
He was my second choice after Mangan, Just under 4 years at Exeter when Exeter gave him permission to talk to Rotherham where he stayed until November this year when he was sacked. Think he will be a good choice for us going forward. He took his assistant with him when he went to Rotherham from Exeter so it could be the end of the road for Mangan at the Rovers
If they are still going for JCH in this transfer window maybe they can get the details sorted out so he could come down and train with our players so that when the window opens he will be here and ready to play and not having to wait around until the next match
Andy Mangan has now left the Rovers following the appointment of Matt Taylor, More information on the clubs web site
Well I am glad Barton is gone after getting himself into more controversy with his mouth! I hope Taylor doesn't become a snake like the last Matt Taylor we had at the Mem. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get the team playing his way. He spoke positively about the team here and he thinks he can get more out of them. His goal for the rest of the season is stability. Underwhelming answer but understandable.

Leam Richardson has been appointed as manager of Rotherham so I think that probably means that Wayne Carlisle will leave the Millers and join MT at the Mem. He’s been Taylor’s assistant for years and Glenn Whelan and Danny Ventre have left us so we certainly need another coach.
Lord Byron remains though. Did Carlisle and Anthony play for Rovers at the same time? It was so long ago that I have no idea if their playing careers were with Rovers were at the same time or not. Can hardly remember to make my predictions
Bluebaldee I resent being called Prehistoric, I have been following Rovers since about 1957. Pre historic age was about 2.5 million years ago and I am not that old
Strictly speaking, prehistory is the period before the invention of writing so around 5,200 years ago - are you sure you’re not that old?!
Taylor has now confirmed all his backroom staff. Jamie McAllister joins the club as Assistant Manager. Wayne Carlisle will also be joining the staff as Individual Player Development Coach. Kevin Bond remains as first-team coach. Anssi Jaakola remains as the club's goalkeeping coach. Byron Anthony will return to his previous role as Academy Manager but will be spending time with the First Team, with an emphasis on building and maintaining the connection between First Team and the academy, aiding the pathway for the next generation.
