I’m pleased Rigg was playing. He’s 16, get him playing as much football as possible. He’ll be a class above at that level.

Watson especially looks like a mini Jack Clarke, really excited to see him at some point, perhaps a sub appearance at the end of the season if there's nothing to play for. I have a theory on our youth resurgance, I think the northeast, more than others areas of the country bar the huge urban centres, are less affluent and this is better grounds for athlete development, young lads whose parents are teachers and live in Kent or Cheshire, they're less likely to scrap on a footy pitch to win a game in a junior league than a young lad from Southwick or Millfield in a council house etc.
