I'm old enough to remember how big a favourite Leeds were in 1973 and look what happened that day. Yes it's tough but not impossible to see these off HTL.
3-3. And would be delighted with that. Hoping for the win obviously but as has already been said I think beating WBA has taken a bit pressure off. The beauty about our team now is even going a goal behind you know they will battle. Thats all I want someone giving 100% for the badge.
Good article HERE on Rigg. Club managing him well - making sure he gets some full games at age group level as well as bits and pieces for the 1st team
Well I was off the mark for Saturdays game. I hope the players come out with similar intensity and purpose as the second half and we get a result. Work Christmas lunch then party tomorrow night, so will be several sheets to the wind come kick off. God knows what state I’ll be in at the end of the match Here’s to a good performance tomorrow.
Just come on the board and tell everyone to go and f*ck themselves......that will be a sign of a good Christmas party
Really looking forward to it. I work with a lot of Leeds fans and I get on great with most of them when it comes to football chat. I even got given a copy of the 1973 final programme one year for secret santa. Top that for quality! My son is letting his sister have his ticket tomorrow and he" going to watch with his Leeds supporting mates on Sky. There"'ll be a lot of good crack round this way whatever.
Was a good read and think the club are making sure that they are doing what is best for Chris now and what is best for his future. It is good that we now have a set up which will encourage more talent to come here and allow us to help them develop and hopefully that will have a knock on effect of allowing the club to grow and develop as well.
Really tough game. Leeds will go up automatically I think, that's a PL squad in all but name. I'd tear your hands off for a point right now, but we'll see how we go.
This is why I'm against the idea of bringing in a bunch of experienced players to 'get us up'. Firstly it doesn't always work. Secondly it pushes our own talent further back. There are better/more experienced midfield players than Neil but I'd rather he stayed, and learned on the job, than sit on the bench hoping for a transfer and a first team place.
That is exactly the point of everything the club are trying to achieve, I have no problem with a couple of experienced players mixing with the younger lads but IMO Dan Neil is now a fairly experienced pro with over 100 first team games under his belt at the tender Footballing age of 21. People see his age and automatically assume he is not experienced. Give me our set up now compared to what we have had in the past as we look to have an identity and a plan. KLD has cleaned out the trash of the past and moved the club in the right direction for the future and I hope he manages to bring his vision for our club to fruition as the signs look good at the moment.
I hope the lads give them a great game to watch tonight and would hope that the club have heard of them and give them a tour or something as that is a great effort. FTM
