First question: What should Howe have done that he didn't. The starting 11 is probably the best we can produce at this moment, which is a sad state of affairs and proves @Roland Deschain right. We could have rotated players earlier in the game, we could have used some of the players actually on the bench, we could have rotated our play to not be primarily between Almiron and Trippier, two players who right now look so poor. Every time they lost the ball, they countered and almost scored. Then your second question WAS answered, you just didn't like the sarcastic ending to it.
It would appear with every passing defeat more people are beginning to come around to the notion that Howe hasn't managed the squad well. This will only become more and more apparent over the coming weeks and those in denial or who've been aggressive in their responses will be punished accordingly.
Pope just makes better decisions when it comes to crosses and shots but I mean, Dubs has been **** at crosses since the Rafa days. It was always his weakest area. The 3rd Tottenham goal he made a motion to run towards the ball and it was his hesitation that gave Tottenham the chance to score. If he just attacked it he would have had a better chance of making a save.
Imagine spending 500 million and still having to field Dubravka schar and Lascelles ...took only 1 injury at cb and gk
Tbh I just complain after we lose I'll be over it by tomorrow and won't care anymore. Good thing about football, new game next week and we can all cheer up
On the point of the squad EH isn’t the one who decides who we do or don’t buy. We have a D of F who does that. Therefore, not really something EH is ultimately responsible for. But let’s not let the facts get in the way. (Sounds familiar) With BJ and Gordon looking so hot today and so involved you probably have a point there. (For the avoidance of doubt, that was sarcasm). Alternatively, we could have played through the middle as Bruno was running midfield and Isak was our outstanding player today (probably not needed, but that was sarcasm as well) On the second question you failed to incorporate what was actually included in my second question namely ‘could have’ but I guessed your sarcasm overlooked that point or you did because you don’t know. Neither do I but then I don’t spend my time whining at the Manager about players we have and haven’t bought.
They're all burned out mate and 3 days recovery won't fix it. Look at Leeds under Bielsa they started getting absolutely hammered once they ran out of steam and that is what we can expect. We're in serious trouble for a long period of time... Howe has run the players into the ground with a style of play not suited to the strength of his squad.
