Now we can put this team out it gives me a lot more confidence in playing the way Ange wants us to play. Big game on Friday, we need to win to consolidate this and put ourselves back in the top four race
Good win that. Can’t get carried away as Newcastle are in poor form atm but plenty of positives there.
So the good: FB pairing are a joy to watch. First time we’ve been able to say that since prime Rose and Walker circa 2016/2017! Sarr is miles better than Hojbjerg in this system. Scary to think Bentancur is then considerably better than Sarr too, not that’s that any sleight against Sarr. Richarlison scored a goal. Richarlison scored a second goal. All round performance was the best in weeks, though Toon really are **** at the moment due to an injury list that makes ours looks moderate. The Bad: Romero, I called out his poor performance in the first half and then in the second he should’ve been red carded with another reckless challenge. Hojbjerg with a dreadful cameo. Ange’s lack of faith in youth, even when some are almost certainly more better suited to his system than others, who then end up costing us goals.
Very good today against a club that likes to play open football. Not wishing to put too much of a damper on todays excellent game but Ange still needs to find a way to break teams who come here and park their bus infont their goal. Great result today, might open that can of beans I've been saving for a rainy day, in celebration.
It’s unfair that Redknapp said that Romero is rash and can give away a goal. Yeah he could get sent off but he’s our best defender he doesn’t give away goals. That’s the point Redknapp is missing
I like Ange ball and can see what he's trying to do but 4-0 up with a few mins to play , if recall we gave 1 away late V Chelsea , West Ham Wolves, and Burnley all due to piss balling around on the edge of the box
I disagree he needs to find a way to improve on using the chances we create. Maddison is missed as his kind of player is not common. Today we were noticeably more aggressive in closing down the player with the ball. Keep that up and take our chances and all will be well. Udogie, Sarr, and Kulusevski were all very good at that. Even Son was more dominant in keeping possession and winning it.
Considering I'm the only poster taking the piss out of you you're replying to, you made it abundantly clear that I'm living in your head rent-free in much the same way you live with your parents rent-free I told you, trying to act clever is not your forte...
Unfortunately I'm merely on a screenshot mission to use in a later conflict. It's important to stay active.
