Players on the fringes have to work their socks off in training and when they get the opportunity due to injuries and/or suspensions do enough to stay in the team. In fact that's exactly what Struijk, Archie Gray and Kamara have done and are now undroppable because of it.
This could cause huge disruption as I’m guessing Farke will bring Cooper in and shift Struijk to left back.
Well today’s reports are that Southampton head a list of clubs wanting Charlie Cresswell and the same with Gelhardt who has a long list of clubs but Hull City are closest to grabbing him. It’s fine FARKE saying he wants these 2 players to stay but their agents and themselves may say no thanks I want to play I need to play…….
There’s always a long list of clubs after them. That wouldn’t be their agents blowing them up. Naah surely not. Just me being an old sceptic
FARKE said he 30 players in the squad who are all needed. Im betting most of them will get little time on the pitch. I remember when Bielsa had 60% of his small squad out injured and some wanted him sacked. That final season I bet Bielsa wished he had 30 first team players. We saw disgruntled players too as Drameh said he wanted out because he wanted to play football. Summerville did it too but then Marsch talked him around. I can see Joffy and Cresswell deciding they want to play rather than not play. Be very interested in getting Hayden Evan’s view on Cresswell as he is his agent. Joffy’s agent is the same as Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale etc so not going to watch his wage packet reduce in value. Maybe Phil Hay would be better trying to find out what Evan’s thinks and writing a good story on that instead of speculating that the club may not want to let anyone leave
