There's no update yet on Son's injury. Sandro Tonali is banned for illegal betting activity. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Davies, Udogie; Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson. Subs: Forster, Emerson, Dorrington, Skipp, Sarr, Donley, Gil, Veliz, Richarlison. League form: WLLLDL. Newcastle: Dubravka; Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Livramento; Miley, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Almiron, Isak, Gordon. Subs: Karius, Gillespie, Dummett, Krafth, A. Murphy, Hall, Ritchie, Diallo, Parkinson. League form: DWLWWL. Ref: Chris Kavanagh. VAR: Peter Bankes. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
If Son is out, lets chuck Veliz in see no point in playing a half fit Richarlison (its barely worth playing a fully fit one). Just can't see us creating much again let alone finishing any chances that we might create, can only see 1 winner today and this time we won't even open the scoring.
Yeah they do. Spurs are only missing Maddison and Van De Ven. Sarr will either start or be on the bench
And Bentancur, Perisic, Solomon, Sessegnon, Dier and possibly Son, all of whom would be in our match day squad.
I like the lineup. Sarr helps us cover the spaces, Kulu gets to play inside, Johnson on the right where he looked very dangerous against City, Richy on the left where he can make a nuisance of himself. Bissouma really needs to play himself back into form somehow though, to make it all tick.
Bissouma has been coasting since his return , due a big game from him Watching his game Thursday, got skills in abundance but his shooting is woeful
Not a huge fan of the XI to be honest. Still not playing two proper CBs and that absolute waster gets another chance over younger players who’d be desperate to impress. Think we should’ve been cautious over Sarr starting too, hopefully he’s not been rushed. Kudos to Howe though, yet another game he gives a start to Miley who’s done well for them. Wish our managers done the same in recent years instead of persisting with players that consistently let us down.
