    He has two tickets mate.
That means be and Fadge are sorted.
You would need both seats... one for each cheek....

I'd honestly just give Darren Eales free reign to use his previous contacts to build a new stadium from scratch. The Mercedes-Benz Stadium that he helped bring to fruition alongside the Falcons hierarchy while he was in charge of Atlanta United FC is jaw-droppingly spectacular, much cooler than the Spurs stadium IMO.

I'd rather get a new stadium now than wait and risk the Saudi's possibly becoming bored with the project 10 years from now or an Abramavich type situation happening and then we are stuck with a run down antiquated stadium like Old Trafford as ManU fans currently are because their owners failed to act and invest in the clubs infrastructure when they where on top and dominant.

If the Saudis are offering to build something at the cost of a billion in Newcastle you say yes please...that offer won't come from our Government..

Unfortunately the people of Newcastle have an over inflated infatuation which some concrete scaffolding and turf that has been replaced more times than triggers brush handle.

Either needs a complete revamp at high cost or just a new ground , but really the times are changing.

They want a royal class service and team but don’t want to pay for it.

    Standard fans then.

The club needs to raise its commercial income somehow.

They think the owners bought the club to make their dreams come true. They're a bit daft and over the coming years they'll be priced out unfortunately.

The fact is the owners bought Newcastle to grow the business and make money which that included making as much money from tickets.

It's sad for them but that's the cold hard facts... I noticed a large number of Americans fans and fans from all over the world were there when I went.

That is the future and they're entitled to sell tickets to the highest bidders.

For me it’s important that we have a range of pricing but make sure we don’t lose and exclude our fan base who have helped get us where we are. I don’t want to be sitting with ‘tourists’ who don’t ‘support’ during a game.

It’s the impossible ask but my preference is stay where we are, improve the ground and make everybody else pay more to cover the cost of my seats.

    :)

The fans that have stayed the distance deserve to be able to afford it that's for sure. If I'm given the opportunity to buy their ticket I will take it from them though just like anyone else with the coin.

The atmosphere vs Dortmund was **** .. I do wonder if that's the future.

I would also like to stay at the ground. But the reality is we need to relocate in my honest opinion.

It’s a business and the business decision will be made. At the end of the day if we want to compete we need to at least double our income to do so.

I agree. Last time I followed Hamish's directions to 'the Cathedral on the Hill' I ended up in Lincoln. <doh>

Build a new one .. Stop worrying about some scaffolding and some turf that's been replaced 5000 times.

Leazes Park would be great - you're effectively only shifting the stadium about a mile, preserving it's "on the hill" position (more or less). However, I think that'll be fraught with challenges - wildlife, green space, etc.

Metro Arena site seems the likely choice., however, as it's a load of ****ty, derelict land. banks of the Tyne for the olds, short walk from Central. Look at the site on a map, it's an almost ready-made shape and could comfortable fit a Tottenham Hotspur stadium in it.

But, but, you said the owners would get bored and pull out of the club.

Exactly - if they are building a new stadium it'll go on that patch of land. Interestingly there's a train line running along it as well so you could even add a station to the development.

The only thing would be the hill leading down to the Tyne would need to be leveled (up OR down) to flatten it as I don't think you could get the current SJP in to that patch before the hill starts:

This is the drop on the other side of the car park:
