Mainoo needed to play today, he needs to start against BM too. At that age all they want to do is play, they don't need game management, they need the confidence that continuity brings - had he played today in place of Amrabat I suspect our midfield and defence would have been less porous, but hey - now he's fresh for a crushing defeat to BM that might dent his confidence.......
I think it's worth playing Mainoo & Amrabat together. McTominay may score goals but he disappears in midfield.
Just watched highlights of the Burnley game and again am left wondering why we have Onana and they have Trafford. The man has the name for us and is far more like an athelete than Onana who looks too short and far too over wieght to be a keeper.
Watched the highlights on MOTD this morning. I thought the post-match analysis was very good. Also, I think I saw Antony on the left at one point We've mentioned some of the team selection, just wondering why AWB didn't play? I just think we need to stop chopping and changing and play our best 11 and get some stability and cohesion and have a chance at controlling games. For me that means Hojlund, AWB, and Shaw at LB. And I would go with Mainoo + Ambrabat in midfield.
100% x 10!!! AWB should always play over Dalot. Dalot can't defend and his crossing and distribution is bang average anyway. Shaw should play left back, that's his position. Moving him to centre half negates any threat down the left. Hojlund over Martial isn't even a question. Never gonna drop McTominay now though is he? Flavour of the month that he is. I'd take McTominay and Mainoo right now though, with Amrabat as a sub.
At least Bruno doesn't have to hide during another big game, his suspension has taken care of that for him.
Why aren't we playing Evans at CB and keeping Shaw at LB? Btw some injury news...Amad, Eriksen and Mount are all back. No games yet but would atleast be a welcome addition in the December fixtures.
