I saw Tanner just try the same move that led to their goal and yet again he failed with his decision but got away with it.
Tanner when he goes forward is way too slow getting back to fill his role and that's always a danger.
Hold on ? By far the better side 2nd half but for Tanner's mistake we'd be coming away with 3 points. Brilliant by Dickie, who won a few good defensive headers, to play Weimann through for our goal. Mehmeti needs a kick up his ass, always always chooses the wrong option. Williams, James, Knight all did well. Deserved 3 points.
I suppose that a point away from home is never a bad thing but the underlying problems visible out there today highlight the reason why we are what we are. There wasn't too much on display that gave me confidence that we will get many points from our upcoming matches against much better opponents than we saw today. Thankfully Huddersfield were as incompetent as us otherwise we could have lost and if we should get more injuries and suspensions I fear for what might be in store with a decreased bench strength. Was it McRorie on commentary today because, if it was, he hit the the mark on nearly all his comments such as constantly turning back towards our goal when forward movement was available. He also criticized bad decision making as a problem that stalls our forward progress along with mistakes at the back contributing to our lack of success. Several players on show today never got into the pace of the game and if that continues into the New Year we may encounter some difficulties with those hard matches in poor conditions where the slightest miscalculation can lead to bad results.
We need to start winning games, it doesn’t matter how. I’m not even sure we played that well. They set up to draw us in and hit us on the break, they allowed us possession knowing we’d struggle to do anything with it.
We were dismal under Nigel. Are people really blinded by his ‘experience’, it seems so. We saw precious little of it at BS3 tbh.
I don’t recall saying I liked him, but I will give him a chance, he has a lot to do, to turn some poor signings we’ve made over the last 18 months. The last manager inherited a far better squad than he left… Also, who says he’s a yes man? In fact, I’ve not heard him say a lot, which is a refreshing change from the whinging dinosaur we had previously You're obviously one of those foolish enough to be seduced by the ‘big name’ that was Pearson, even when it was clearly not working
