We currently sit 11th in the Championship attendance table, with an average of 18,671.

A bit disappointing against last season, but considering we've not played any local teams yet, our home games having been against the likes of West Ham, Pompey, Watford, Palace, Cardiff and Reading, it's probably not that surprising(West Ham obviously being the exception as they brought a few thousand and the crowd was 21,756).

It will be interesting to see what effect Barmby's appointment has on the attendances, apparently over a third of the tickets for Derby were sold after his appointment was announced and it's not normal for so many tickets to be sold so late in the day.

I expect the appointment of the home-town hero, along with the more attacking approach that his appointment brings, is likely to significantly improve our crowds, over 20,000 on Saturday perhaps?

I think the league positions are deceptive at the moment, the teams are all tightly bunched together. More attacking football will get the crowd fired up which can only be a good thing and I can't see why Barmby would organise it any different at home.

I got a real sense of togetherness at Derby from the players on the pitch up to the terraces and back down to the dugout! I think (or at least hope) people will turn out to support Nick for his first home game in charge

I like NB comments that the team was allow to express themselves against Derby and the interchange between players was good to see, hopefully this will lead to a more positive approach at home games, which in turn will result in more goals. If this is the case I think attendances will go up.

I think Barmby coming in as manager could be a pull for people to come back (especially those who didn't like Pearson's style of football). There could well be a good attendance for the leicester match then we have the likes of Leeds, Donny, Forest and Boro all still to come to the KC. It's a shame we have a poor xmas schedule for matches with only one game at home and that coming on January 2nd as that period tends to attract people who don't usually go to the games.

Average home attendance not that bad bearing in mind nobody, other than West Ham, have brought any away support to the KC -TWS only 22660.

I expected Derby's to be higher than that. Their home support is class considering they've not exactly been good in recent years, and they're still officially the worst team in premier league history.

to be fair, apart from the formation and tactics, the inter-play was no better than it has been of late. I just hope that Nick has a plan B for when we get sussed and he needs to get 'boring' and grind it out. The next 4 games in particular will be a good barometer of whether Nick can cut it above the standards set by Nigel Pearson.

True, at this stage it doesn't mean a lot, we happened to have taken about 2,500 to Donny the day after these figures were done.

    So. Get them hooked young.

They had 30K there against us. Not bad is it? What with it being £28 for an adult ticket and £31 pay on the day.

Prices, even in the championship, are ridiculous and need to be made cheaper.

Despite that, there were over 31,000 at the game on Saturday and there didn't seem to be an unusual amount of kids there, so it's still impressive.

Particularly when you bear in mind that they're ****e. <laugh>
