I'm with John. Thought we ended the half better and they've nabbed one. I do think 0-0 into the half would have been a fair reflection though

 

1 out of the 8 tackles we attempted didn't result in us winning the ball back

 

Yeah, we took over half way through, without really looking like scoring.
Looks like again we’ve picked a bad time to play them.
Need more intensity second half.

 

If they’re tackles then surely it must total 100% between the two sides?

 

We looked really disjointed. The back four look clumsy. Delap not really getting in the game. Traore is ineffective.

If they have the ball we tackle them. If we have the ball they tackle us. It’s a % of how many we win not a total of both teams

 

I dont get what you're saying here. Tackles aren't a 1v1 stat. Maybe you're thinking of duels? They've won 45% of them and we've won 55%

 

Don’t create anywhere near enough to be pushing top 6, need some serious fire power adding in Jan.

Surely if we'd turned up on any other time, they either wouldn't be there, or there'd be another team on the pitch as well.

 

A tackle is a tackle. It involves a player from both teams.

If there are 5 tackles, they win 3 & we win 2 then they have won 60%, we have won 40%. Total 100%.

Sorry to say what you are describing in the stats is a duel. Tackles are measured differently.

 

That’s not how it’s tracked. If a team makes 5 tackles and 3 result in the tackling team having possession, it’s 60% tackle success. You’re thinking of ‘duels’.
