Would you say poor touch and not being able to use the ball in the final third is good then? Watford have been good and we have not. Having the ball and doing nothing with it is pretty poor.
Maybe switch Alcaraz and Aribo for a bit. Aribo looks more likely to unlock the defence. Charly could do with having more time and space.
Yet again the only player who appears in wing positions in attack is our right back. We need to start using some width. Look how effective wingers who whip in early balls are for them.
Only times we have looked like getting through came from Aribo beating a player and Stuart playing a ball ball round the corner. Need to do more of this. Not sure if their right back normally plays narrow or if they don’t think we have a threat there. Maybe put a wide player on to see if it stretches the back four and creates space through the middle?
I think it’s been bad. Far too many sloppy passes and not enough hard work in midfield. Front 3 totally anonymous. Adams may as well not be on the pitch. We should be like 3-0 down
We always go 1-0 up, so the longer we can hold this at 0-0, the more likely it becomes that our 1-0 lead is a result of an injury time winner from Fraser.
You guys make me laugh. A half where the opposition are playing well and making all the chances is ‘tight’ and not ‘bad’. 70% possession and they have all the chances - and getting overrun for the final ten minutes- is pretty awful! I still think we have a team that cannot shift the direction of a match. As the opposition rises, we succumb. Hopefully half time and the boss tells them how to do it, as they cannot figure it out themselves.
well i hope Rusel Martin is as productive as me at half time. I have descaled my coffee machine and browned the mince and added to the home made ragu for my dinner.
Can anyone think of a game where the opposition were on top and we turned it around within the half without a goal shifting momentum? I honestly can’t!
