How many grammar Nazis does it take to change a light bulb?

    Too

I agree. Too nil with goals by an Armstrong, probably A and somebody else

80s or 90s is the one that gets me.

it is talking about the eighties - ie more than one year and not 1980 so it is plural and not short for a word or even ownership, so no apostrophe needed.

    I think 2-1 Saints Alcaraz & Adams.

My first recollection of Saints v Watford was 1960. Having amazingly thrashed Citeh away from home in the 3rd round, Derek Reeves scoring 4+1 from George O'Brien,a 4th round tie v a Div 4 team seemed a reasonable route to the 5th round. 2-2 at the Dell, George O'Brien scoring 2, then lost the replay 1-0. I remember feeling very deflated. First lesson in taking things for granted!!!

I hope the ref is aware of Ryan Porteous`s party piece - at set pieces in the opposition box, he`ll grab his markers arm, pull it towards him, then fall over to make it look like he was fouled. He`s quite good at it!

Didn't we beat them about 7-0 10 years ago? Or was that wolves? I'd take a draw today 1-1.

Mine was about 1980 ish in the League cup. Channon, keegan era. We were div 1 and they were div 2. We smashed then 4-0 at home, but somehow contrived to lose the away leg 7-1. Same old Saints

Yes remember it well. Saw the home game but had a job in Belgium for the away leg. Left stupid o’clock & didn’t get home until midnight to find all sorts of scribbles from my dad telling me what a bunch of shower the team were & of course the score. Couldn’t really believe my eyes but at same time knew it must be true. Ps. and for all you youngsters; pre internet, mobile phones times.
