Nothing to do with us but is it fair to sack Paul Heckingbottom? Lets face it we employed him and he was quickly sacked, which he took in good heart whilst sat on a beach with his wife. Bielsa took over and we know the rest. PH was then employed to try and stabilise a struggling blunts team, which he did really well. He then got them promoted the following season but his club are skint. They have an Arab owner who can’t afford to fund it to premier league levels so they are getting battered. The 3 teams who came up are all struggling even Burnley who thrashed the blunts, but the 3 teams who came up will all go down again and even Everton will be safe as these 3 teams are so poor. So is it PHs fault and should he take the blame? The blunts sold their best players in the summer and didn’t invest in replacements. Chris Wilder returns yet again.

Massive TV deal been agreed for £6.75 billion
Sky has been awarded four of the five packages and will show a minimum of 215 matches a season including Saturday 5.30pm kick-offs, Sunday 2pm and 4.30pm kick-offs, plus evening games on Mondays and Fridays and three midweek rounds. TNT will show a minimum of 52 matches a season including all 12.30pm kick-offs on Saturdays and two Midweek matches. Sky Sports will also broadcast all 10 matches on the final day of each season. Amazon have kept their powder dry this time and pulled out.the deal will start at the end of next season and run to 2029, the existing deal was worth £5 billion. No streaming service has bid this time and all seem to be focused on putting something different together for next time.

Sonny Perkins needs bringing back in January as he has had a nightmare at Oxford and the club is obviously a basket case. For me Perkins is a young player who is on a list of kids that deserve a chance. 18 goals last season mainly with the U21s but also played and scored in the EFLCup, The FA Cup and the Premier League 2 play off final. He was toe to toe with Mateo Joseph and can play as a 10 which is more his natural position. Let’s not forget the trouble we got from West Ham when we signed him, because Moyes had already played him in the first team and was first team squad player. These loan moves are supposed to be good for kids and

Plenty of sackings in the Championship with more to come. Duff sacked by Swansea, Mowbray sacked by Sunderland and Taylor sacked by Rotherham. Don’t think Tony Mowbray will be out work for long.

Italian media saying Roma are going to pay £5m for Diego Llorente’. The loan deal specifies that as soon as Llorente has played 50% of the Roma games they will buy him for the agreed price. Llorente is playing every game because Chris Smalling is out for the season, so he’s not far away from playing in the required number of games. I believe the price is pretty good even though we paid £18m for him back in the day. He’s now 30yo and we would only be getting a pittance for him after his first contract would be up by now. Silly giving him a new contract but lets get rid asap.

On the managers its just a merry-go-round out one door in another. Mowbray I'm hearing from a few Mackems at work got the sack for wanting a striker and then was a falling out. as you say whoever gets a job at the 3 clubs who came up have little chance of saving them they just don't have the money or pulling power of attracting decent players.
As on our players Llorente take what we can get as well as all the other out on loan. Perkins needs gametime for the good of himself as his future doesn't look white. Farke will sort the seed from the husk and I will back him in any of his decisions.

Bumped in to Heckingbottom just after his sacking. It was in a coffee shop in Menorca. Him and his wife were very friendly and were a little unsure after I declared I was a Leeds fan. Yeah, they just wandered in and sat at the next table and started chatting to us.

Nice fella. Was chuffed for him last season.

Last week it was Messier to AC Milan and today it’s Meslier to Bayern Munich. The real story is that Bayerns keeper is 39 and wants to leave or retire. Milan have a French keeper who fancies a move to Bayern so it follows another French lad gets linked with replacing him in Milan. However Tuchel knows Messier and so 2+2 makes 5 as it does seem Munich want a new keeper

A couple clickbait sites saying Darlow starts tomoz which would tie in with Meslier leaving. However if he starts it’s bollox

Looks like Leeds are chasing Jordan Miles to take the Head of Recruitment spot. He’s only just gone to Aberdeen in July so will end up costing us. He was at WHU before that as head of recruitment analytics and before that at Derby and Ipswich. Seems to be well thought of but hes only young so lets hope the club know what they’re doing

Great result but average performance. Archie isnt a RB and Rutter really needs to find his own boots and get rid of Bamfords he borrowed. Rutter was good but not very good again. We were 2nd best in midfield today and we could have been punished with better strikers, Struijk was on it today alongside Rodon but LB and RB today not great. A clean sheet so well done

I'm fully expecting the Leedsiest of Leedsy seasons where we collect 100 pts, finish 3rd on goal difference and get beat in the play off semi finals by someone like Hull who finished 35 points behind us.

Leicester won 4-0 today, everyone involved in the goals both scoring and assists will probably be absent for the African cup
