i wouldn't want either kroenke or usmanov to invest their money in the club for anything other than buying shares. Arsenal do it the Arsenal way.
Some of you want to stop living in the past. Football has changed, it is unrecognisable from 10 years ago, let alone 20 and 30 years. We shouldn't be doing a Man City, but we shouldn't be shopping at Lidl either !!!
We should be shopping in Waitrose .. we can't afford the food section at Harrods, fair enough, but Waitrose should be our target. At times Wenger has even bypassed Lidl and gone straight for Poundstretcher !!
Cym - the only upside is that it will shaft ****in' tesco nearby. they just drive all competition out. yes I delight in being a snob. I like tidy clean shelves, no **** on the floor and checkouts where they can use English. I'm just picky like that.
Wengers bargains usually pay off - look at Koscielny - no-one had heard of him, he was ridiculed over his first few matches, but he's been awesome since. Vermaelen at 10m was a steal, Jenkinson for 1m, Ramsey for 5m. There has been a significant shift in Wengers policy in the last few years, which many people haven't noticed. From buying for the future (Nasri, Theo etc.) to buying what the team needs now (Arshavin, Mertesacker, Chamakh, Koscielny, Squillaci etc.). It's been subtle, but it has happened. I'm not expecting any more than one or at most two purchases in January, but if they strengthen the squad then that's just fine by me.
Probably on some market stall mate! No this was made by Harrods, I bloody hope it wasn't knock off it was an 18th birthday pressie!
AVB is a very good manager. He has a very tricky task. (maybe impossible) Abramovic hired AVB because he wants to see his team compete at the top and play attacking football. However the likes of Terry, Lampard, Mikel, Drogba are used to playing a certain way at Chelsea and a complete tactical overhaul will take time before it works.(also wether terry, lampard etc.. are actually technically skilled enough to play this way is another issue)
