Gil needs to be a little more confident when getting into dangerous areas, as he seems to get into a good position - then send it back to midfield
Appreciate the humour, but it is so true if Johnson. Looks a good prospect but seems tentative and missed a great opportunity to set Sonny free but passed backwards <doh>

Decent enough first half. Lot of the ball but little idea in the attacking third, we’ve not gotten Sonny into the game at all.

Johnson dropping a disasterclass at the moment, nothing’s coming off for him, whereas Udogie has been brilliant.

Lovely header from Romero.

We've dominated and at times it has looked like a friendly. That's always the challenge against teams that park the bus so adeptly - their main goal is to force you to mirror their own pace and slow the game down. We cannot afford to do that as we don't currently have the quality in the final third to pick the lock. The best bet we have is shifting the ball really quickly and forcing them to break their shape and expose gaps.

All too safe lots of possession and some great play but very few chances created, Johnson has been bright and available but used the ball poorly, Kulu taking too many touches and whilst we have been in complete control West Ham could easily have done a Villa and gone in level at HT

Must score the next goal early in the 2nd, the longer it stays just 1 the more they will think they can get something If he is fit enough Sarr for Hojbjerg seems an obvious change, don't think Gil will get much out of Coufal so looks like we will have to give Richie a run on the left.

Credit to West Ham they have defended really well and their game plan is working perfectly.
Without Maddison we just don’t have the guile to break down this sort of team. The goal from Romero was just a great header from a set piece.
Their goal was very lucky but it looks like only one winner now

This is where Ange needs to earn his money. Has to understand the Prem isn’t the SPL where one tactic with the best team is enough for the win.

Moyes has changed West Ham’s tactics at HT and they’re looking for more dangerous for it.
