I'm a big fan of Smallbone but you can't change the starting XI after how well the team performed last time, especially after having a full week to recover. Nice to have great options from the bench now.
A tricky set of fixtures with Ipswich at Middlesbrough, Leeds at Blackburn and us a Watford. West Brom are at Sunderland. Let's just worry about our result but this could be a good weekend for us COYR
Away From home against a solid Watford, team id play. Baz; KWP, THB, Bednarek, Bree; Downes; Charles, Armstrong. Armstrong, Charly, Adams. Sorry Manning but I feel Bree is going to better suited for this.
If the Charley Armstrong Adam Armstrong Charley Adams combination confuses Watford as much as it does me, it should be a winner
Watford supporters I've seen seem to be pretty confident of getting a win against us. I can see it being a tight game, but hopefully we can keep the undefeated run going. A draw would be okay, but if we want to close on those above we need to keep on winning.
We've found a level of performance that gives us a good chance of winning in every match and now it's about maintaining that standard with consistency. Of course we will drop points even if we don't deserve to as will our rivals but as long as we play to our potential then i'll be happy and let's see where we are in April. We are ahead of where I predicted we would be at the start of the season.
They are on very good form so I can understand the confidence. Their only loss in the last 9 was away against Leicester and they have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 home games - a point wouldn't be an awful result really, although it would probably feel like it because the other teams at the top just seem to keep bloody winning!
If you haven’t already seen it, take a look at the Hull goal, primarily the huge amount of space between the back four and the midfield, giving the Hull player time to receive, turn and run the ball through the centre, drawing the CBs out of position. If they play that openly against us, Charly and Stuart need to be getting into the same position. Charly did it a lot in the second half on Saturday.
With last week's triple-header, I was slightly underwhelmed by seven points (I was very much targeting the full nine). Whereas with this upcoming triple-header, I think seven points would represent a very good return. None of the three games are easy.
It's the day before matchday, a chill mist hung over the fields and water as a lone goose honked it's way down the canal.
It must be time for an apostrophe pedant to comment, so: "It's", with an apostrophe, refers to "It is", in other words, the apostrophe is replacing a letter,so "It's" is correct. "its", without an apostrophe, references ownership, and inserting an apostrophe in "its" is incorrect, specifically to differentiate between "It is", and belonging to/referring to "it". I'd get out more, but I'm composing a letter to The Daily Telegraph, railing against the standards of English grammar in use by football fans. Anyway, we'll win 2-0, with goals from Armstrong (A) and Armstrong (S).
